Chapter 35

Lux's P.O.V

"It is time to wake up, Lux." Sebastian tells me. I get up and Sebastian hands me my outfit for today. A long-sleeved, knee-length, gray collared dress with white accents. As well as white knee-socks and black mary-janes.

"Sebastian, can we go to the beach today? Just... you and me?" I ask.

He looks surprised at my requests. "Of course Lux."

I walk into the bathroom to get ready while Sebastian informs Ciel of what we're going to do. 'It's my last day here. Tomorrow we're leaving.' I look at the scars. 'I hate seeing these. I can't believe I couldn't save myself. Here I am, saving everyone. Everyone but myself. Pathetic. Weak. Stupid.'

I grab a roll of bandages and cover the scars. I then put on the dress, socks, and mary-janes and exit the bathroom. Sebastian is waiting for me in my room.

"Are you ready to leave?"

"I need a few things first. A piece of paper and a glass bottle." I say as I grab my wand off of the nightstand.

I walk alongside Sebastian as we search for the materials. I find the paper while Sebastian finds the bottle. He then picks me up bridal-style and we head to the beach by Sebastian using his demon speed.

Once we get there, he walks over to the shore and sets me down. I pull out a pen and write on the top half of the paper:

'I wish for us to be united again. And to never have to separate again'.

I hand the paper and pen to Sebastian. "Write down a wish." I tell him. He smiles and writes down the same thing I did, along with our names at the bottom, forming two interlocking hearts. Sebastian hands the paper back to me. I roll it up, put it in the bottle, and seal the bottle with a cork.

"What are you going to do with it?" Sebastian asks.

I set it in the waves of the sea to answer his question. "I'm gonna wait for the wish to come true."

'Regret message.'

It was too late by then, to fix my sins,

"If we're ever reborn, I hope in my next life..."

" '...That we'll stand hand in hand once again'." I say at the end. Sebastian grabs my hand.

"We will see each other again, Lux. I promise you."

And that one promise told me that our wish will come true.

Lux's P.O.V

It's time to leave. I'm wearing clothing from the first day I came here. All four of us are. I grip my wand tightly in my hand. I know the spell. I've accidentally memorized it. My eyes glow as I chant the spell.

A portal opens before us. Sebastian is standing next to me. I turn to him. "See you soon?"

He turns to me. "Of course, Lux." He kisses me. But the moment ends too soon.

"This isn't goodbye. Just a 'see you soon'." I say. My friends had already gone through the portal. I step into the portal. And once I do, it disappears.

There was some confusion in Chapter 33, so let me explain:

Lux's spell healed Sebastian by having others feel the pain she felt from Sebastian nearly dying. I can't translate the Latin text back, but it said something along the lines of 'share my pain with the world' or something like that.
