Chapter 13

Kim's P.O.V

I wake up from sunlight that's pouring in from the window. 'Wait a second, my curtains are always closed.' I sit up and look around the room. 'I'm definitely not at the Phantomhive Manor.'

I pull my phone out of my backpack that I had strapped to my leg. 'Taika's been trying to get ahold of me. Same with Nina.'

Taika:

Where the heck r u!? U went 2 go look 4 Lux about 30 min ago!

Hello?

Did u see a black haired butler with glasses with a blonde haired idiot last night?

9:24am

Nina:

Kim, where'd u go? R u with Lux? Everyone's looking for u 2.

Missed call

'Black-haired butler with a blonde idiot?' I'm about to text Taika when my door opens. I shove my phone back in my backpack and hide it underneath the skirt of my dress.

"Miss, my master wishes to see you." A black-haired butler enters my room.

'Claude, a spider demon. He's under a contract with Jim Macken, a.k.a Alois Trancy.' I remember from when I researched the show.

"Yeah, whatever." I walk past him and wander around the manor until I reach 'the blonde idiot', as Lux refers to him. I open the doors and see Lux standing in front of a desk. 'Is she shaking?' I frown.

"-you idiot!" A voice shouts out. Lux ducks and something hits me in the head.

"The heck? Hey, that hurt!" I shout at whoever threw that. Lux runs next to me and hugs my arm, revealing Alois Trancy sitting at the desk.

"That was the point!" He shouts back while standing up and slamming his hands on the desk, making Lux flinch.

"Yo face was the point!" Alois just stands there, baffled by what I said. I feel pressure where the object had made contact with me when Alois threw it. I turn to look at Lux.

"You were bleeding a bit." She tells me. She leans a bit closer to me. "And don't anger him. I really don't wanna deal with Claude if I can avoid it." She whispers in my ear.

Claude walks in the room. "Your highness, breakfast is ready." 'Wait, Alois isn't royalty. Is he?'

"Perfect. You two are to join me for breakfast." He then skips out of the room. I follow, and Lux follows me. Claude is between Alois and me. Lux keeps her eyes on Claude's back the entire time. 'Is she afraid of Claude?'

Lux's P.O.V

"Miss Lux, the master would like to see you." A voice says. The curtains open, letting sunlight pour into the room. 'It's coming from the wrong side of the room.' I then remember the events from last night and jolt up into a sitting position. I look down and see the same clothes I was in from last night. I feel a headache start to form.
