Caleb's POV

"No."

I bit my lip. "But-"

Connor shook his head. "It might of worked on Chiron, but I'm not trying it on Tantalus."

Travis nodded. "It's too dangerous right now. Maybe if Annabeth and Percy comes back...."

"Please- I really need to go."

"Why?"

I fell silent. He pursed his lips. "We can't no matter what. You need to tell Mr. D or Tantalus."

I guess I couldn't go this time.

10 days.

10 days of waiting until Clarissie came.

We circled around the tree as Clarrise draped the fleece on the lowest bough. The moonlight turned silver, and a cool breeze blew through camp. Everything seemed to become sharper, more into focus. Everyone cheered as the needles turned greener. I let out a long sigh.

Finally.

"I'm glad you're back."

Annabeth looked up at me, smiling. Her hair seemed to glow in the moonlight.

"Yeah. Me too."

Grover came up from behind Annabeth. He shifted nervously.

"Hi."

I smiled. "Hi."

"Hey Annabeth-" Percy spotted me. "Hi Caleb."

I nodded.

"Thanks."

I glanced at Annabeth. She raised an eyebrow.

"You were right." she said plainly.

"Of course."

"Don't tell me you have some future reading skills or something."

"How'd you know?"

"Come on." she crossed her arms. "I'm curious."

"I kept my promise."

"... What are you two talking about?"

I smiled at Percy widely. "Good luck for the chariot races Percy."

~

Thaila.

She brought a whole new wave of memories onto me, and the whole war that killed her.

It was nice having her around though.

Percy left for his school, and Annabeth stayed at camp. Thaila was also at camp, and tagged along with Annabeth almost nearly all the time.

"Hey Annabeth."

She blinked once. I saw the papers for cabin inspection.

Just 10 minutes. Atleast 5.

"Cabin inspection?"
