Caleb's POV

"You're Caleb?"

I glanced at Abigail and smiled.

"Yeah. I'm guessing you're Abigail."

She smiled and nodded, blushing slightly.

She had her curly red hair in a ponytail, and was wearing jean shorts and a white tank top. She tucked a curl behind her ear awkwardly.

"So... Where are your friends?"

"They should be coming." I glanced down at my phone.

"You want to go in first? We can wait inside."

"No. It's alright."

There was a bit of awkward silence.

"... Why did you agree to meet me?"

I raised an eyebrow. "You don't like me?"

"No! It's not like that... Just...."

"I don't really have friends around here. And my two friends.... Well..." I felt a little bad for her. "I was wondering if one would like you."

"Oh.... So-"

I grinned. "I did want to see you though. Who tried to get Percy's number."

Suddenly, something jumped on my back. My hand immediantly went to riptide, but I relaxed when I heard Enoch's voice.

"Hi!!!!!!" He spotted Abigail. "Hey! You never said we'll have a she!!"

Carl came up from behind him. "We have a she?"

I shook Enoch off my back. "This idiot is Enoch. And he's Carlson."

"Carl." He corrected.

Enoch smiled at Abigail, his eye colors changing violently.

"Hi."

She nodded, a little suprised. Enoch looked back at me.

"How did you know I like redheads?"

I scowled. "You two are late."

"You know Victoria was asking us where we were going and-"

"Shut up." Carl cut off. His eyes scanned Abigail for a few milliseconds. "Lets go in."

We ordered pizza, and I wondered why I had said to meet at a pizza place. I nibbled on a piece, watching Enoch flirt with Abigail shamelessly. Abigail looked somwhat confused. Carl was completely ignoring her, even though he was sitting right next to her.

"So what do you do in your free time?"

"... I read. And sometimes sing."

"You sing?"

Her cheeks turned pink. "Yeah... I play the guitar."
