All day she couldn't stop thinking about Javon and her dinner with him. She just knew Mrs. Henson was going to convince her dad to allow her on that date. Mrs. Henson had a way with words and convince a dog to speak fluent english if she wanted.

Then as the ending of school neared, Michelle began thinking about Lei and what happened to Cammi. Could the stalker possibly find out what she was up to and do worse than what happened to Cammi?

That letter did indicate someone was alone, gone, scarred, numb and jailed. She already knew Lei was jailed and now that Cammi was associated with alone but what about her? Was she the one that would be gone or dead? She couldn't understand what numb meant. But she knew it wasn't good.

None of it was.

Once school was finally over, Michelle met up with Kimmie at her car and they hurried out of the parking lot.

"Before we head to free our girl Lei, I've gotta pick up Desiree and Serena from school and drop them off. Is that fine?" Kimmie asked hitting the main road.

Michelle quickly nodded. "It's fine. That's Shelby's sister, right?"

"Uh yeah, I don't know how those two became friends but they can't get enough of each other. And yet I hate Shelby. Why couldn't she have gotten locked up...but then again I love the heck out of Serena...I'm just glad you told me. I knew you'd never step foot into a tattoo parlor. Not your style girl."

Michelle smiled. "No it's not. Plus, I felt wrong not telling you. I knew you'd understand. You always do. Thank you."

"What are friends for?" Kimmy grinned. "So this derango. How bad is it?"

"Considering they killed an entire family...I'd say really bad. I understand if you want to back out. It's not your problem." Michelle said. But she was hoping Kimmy would stay. Kimmy was stronger than her. A lot stronger than her.

Kimmy shook her head. "Now that's not my style. You're my best friend and no crazy person is taking that away. It's not your problem either. Just like you're being a good friend to Lei, I'm being a good friend to you. Now shut up and let's crack down on some bad guy."

The two began talking about how Michelle wanted to reunite all the girls, especially after freeing Lei. There was no doubt in Michelle's mind that she was going to find out who killed Lei's family, even if it meant her dying. Lei deserved it and more.

"It's going to work itself out-Jesus, these lines take ten years to push on. Why didn't I make Desiree take the bus?" Kimmy fussed.

The middle school was packed with kids everywhere and cars lined up against the walkway, while teachers supervised and opened doors for the car riders. Michelle smiled as she remembered her middle school days. No matter what the weather was, the teachers always stood outside and opened the doors for the students.

The backdoor opened, as two bodies scooted in. One was a chubby Desiree and the other was Serena. Neither of the girls acknowledged Kimmy or Michelle, just went to exclaiming their excitement for their sleepover.

"Well hello to you two, too," Kimmy said pulling out of the long line and driving past the other girls. She kept her attention forward. If a teacher stopped her, she could get in trouble for doing that. Students weren't allowed to just run to the car.

"Oh hey Kim and Michelle. We're entering this Sweepstake contest so we can meet the delicious 1D!" Desiree yelled.

Both girls began to scream and squeal as if they had won. What they didn't realize was that they weren't going to win, no one ever did. Michelle knew those things were rigged for failure. People did that all the time and no true winner ever popped up. It was a way to get more people to buy certain products.
