It Wasn't a Date

(But it was totally a date)

Okay so Ben and I went to watch Wicked today! He was so excited when I invited him (moms sick with the flu). Nothing reeeally important happened, but it was...nice. I love spending time with him.

No, what was really funny was when we got home. My dad said, "Valerie, I give you permission to date Benjamin."

I replied with a sarcastic "Thanks dad", and he continued, "but only because he didn't mention Jimmy John's."

(Which is an inside joke)

So yeah! Wicked was super awesome. Dad said that in that theater was the happiest he's ever seen me.

I think that's all for today. I'll sit with Ben and Becca tomorrow at lunch, so that'll be fun. Maybe I'll try to push things along a little. I don't know. Maybe I'll wait until the spring, when we do State Fair...I have this little fluffy fantasy of him kissing me onstage for the first time, and just...wow.
