*Next Day*
Shay and Severide had woke up for work and they were downstairs about to just eat a bowl of cereal when they seen Dawson behind the counter setting 3 plates of food on the counter "Good morning breakfast is ready" she said as she poured some coffee in the 3 mugs by each plate. Severide and Shay looked at each other surprised "You made breakfast for us?" they asked as they sat on a chair.
"Of course I did" she said looking at them weird "Wow Dawson this is really good" Severide said a he began to eat, she smiled thank you she said as she took a sip of her coffee. "What is this?" Shay said as she began to eat too "Chilaquiles (Mexican dish with cute tortillas mixed with spicy or no spicy hot sauce/salsa)" Shay and Severide looked at each other again and smiled at Dawson "Well this is amazing" Shay said. Dawson thought that they were only being nice but seen that they were because they both served each other 2nd plates of it.
"Well we got to go but we'll..." Shy began but then stop when she seen that Dawson was ready to go too. "Where are you going?" se asked her. "To the firehouse" "Dawson you cant work until next week" Severide said worried about her condition still. "I know I cant work until next week but I can still visit you guys and plus make some amazing lunch." Shay laughed "Okay that sound good but no working" Shay said and Dawson nodded in agreement.
So they all got in Severide's car and headed towards the firehouse. They all got of the car once they got there and Dawson just stood there "What's wrong?" Shay asked her noticing her just standing there. "It seems like forever that I haven't been here I actually missed it and Im glad to be back even if it is just to visit" Dawson said. They both smiled at her "Come one everyone will be happy to see you." Shay said as she put her arm around Dawson's shoulder and they walked inside the firehouse.
As they entered Dawson could hear everyone in the common room joking around she had to admit that she missed being in this place and she couldn't wait to finally be back at work, helping victims. "Hey look who's back!!" Hermann said everyone looked and seen Dawson standing there next to Shay and Severide "Heyyy welcome back!!" they all said and started to cheer and then they started to walk towards her and hugged her in a group hug. She had a smile from ear to ear she was glad to be back.
"But I thought that you couldn't work for another week?" Mills asked her. She nodded "Yeah but I wanted to visit you guys because I would just be bored at home" she said and everyone was glad to hear that she was back to her old self even if she didn't remember some details in the pass 3 years. In that moment Chief Boden walked in with Casey they were talking and didn't notice Dawson there until they looked up and saw her. "Dawson what are you doing here?" Chief Boden asked confused.
She couldn't help but laugh "Chief cant I just come and visit I mean if no one wants me here then I just go back home" she said joking around. "No no its not that we don't want you here it's just was a surprise to see you here but you are always welcome here" he said. She laughed and thanked him. Casey remained silent he didn't know what to say, because he was scared that he would say something that she didn't remember and then it would affect her in her memory.
They all sat down and started talking, Casey was going to sit next to Dawson but before he could Mills sits next to her and not only that but he also gave her a mug of coffee, "Thank you Mills" Dawson said smiling. Casey couldn't help but feel a bit jealous but he decided to sit across from them to see what they were talking about. "Im serious I still have the picture I would never throw it away it is to precious not to keep" Mills said laughing as he and Dawson both laughed. What picture was he talking about Casey wondered to himself.
"Im really glad that you okay Dawson I don't know what I would have done if anything bad would have happened to you" Mills said as he noticed Casey sitting across from them and he was just looking at them. "Im glad that I'm okay" Dawson said and then the alarm went off so they all started getting up and Dawson remained seated she missed going out on calls and she was waiting for the week to be up so she could finally return to work.
