*Next Day*
Dawson was in the ambulance thinking of what to make Casey for dinner while Shay was driving. "Hello Dawson! At least you could pretend to pay attention to me." Shay said pretending to be hurt.
"Im sorry Im just thinking about tonight I have so many things to prepare" Dawson said. Shay couldn't help but laugh "Why are you so nervous? you make seem like its your guys is first date." Shay said. "Almost like that since Hallie's accident we really haven't spent no time together so this will be our first date in almost 2 weeks I just want everything to be perfect." Dawson explained.
"Okay well what do you have prepared for him?" she asked Dawson. "Well I was thinking a candle lite diner to begin then just enjoy each others company drinking some wine." Shay looked at her "And a little something something afterwards" Shay said winking at her.
"Leslie Shay!" Dawson said pushing her lightly on the shoulder "What its true if your saying that you haven't spent time alone with him then that mean you haven't done it in a while maybe that's what you need. That is why you are always in a bad mood" Shay said laughing.
"I seriously cant believe Im having this conversation with you right now but your right someone alone time with casein is just what I need" she said and they both laughed. They headed back to the station to finish the rest of the shift. As the day went along every time Casey and Dawson would pass through the halls they would smile at each other or Casey would wink at her. They still have not told anybody about their relationship and Dawson wanted to change that.
She walked into the common room and sat down next to Shay "Okay so I decided to finally tell everyone that Casey and I are dating" Shays eyes widened "Finally!!!!" she pretty much screamed and everybody that was there stopped whatever they were doing and looked at them. In that moment Chief Boden and Casey walked in.
"Can I have everybody attention please Dawson had announcement" Shay said and everybody stayed quiet to listen to what she had to say. Dawson couldn't help but feel a bit awkward in front of everybody. "Umm well actually Casey and I have announcement" Dawson said walking over to Casey who was not expecting her to say anything.
"Um well I wanted to keep this a secret but you guys are family so I wanted to tell you guys that Casey and I are dating" she said as she intertwine their hands together. She looked up at Casey and she noticed that he was smiling from ear to ear. For a few minutes there was nothing but silence until Hermann screamed "I knew it I knew didn't I call it." Hermann said looking at everyone.
"No you didn't" Otis said laughing "Well I told Cindy but anyways I knew it I called it I always knew you two were meant to be" Casey and Dawson laughed "Well me too Randall Mcholland called it too you two were always meant to be" Mouch said. "Congratulations you two" Chief Boden said and then walked away. Casey couldn't help but hug and give a kiss on the cheek to Dawson.
After everyone congratulated them they went on about their day. Dawson and Casey went into his room to talk "So why the change of heart I thought you didn't want to tell anyone about us?" Casey asked her. She simply shrugged "Well I'm happy and I wanted everyone to know why because Im with the best man I could be with" she said and then she decided to close the shade so no one could see them and they she sat on his lap and they started to kiss.
