"I..I..?" Kaede asked, a little overwhelmed, when she had been stopped by the volleyball coach a few seconds ago and was now standing in the hall. Behind her was Chika, who wanted to accompany her home, as her house would be on the way.

As far as she knew, Oomi was the head coach of this team. Kurosu was his vice coach and actually helped him with everything he could. Kaede had found out a bit about it after the lunch break. Although, she had rather overheard the students' conversations.

"Osamu said you would be best suited for it." Oomi said, which was why Kaede had now looked at the boy. "Huh?"

The trainer laughed softly. "He said you weren't focused on the players. That you have a neutral opinion and don't really care who they are." Oomi explained in more detail. "A lot of girls would have started screaming and idolizing them. But I don't think that will be the case with you."

Osamu must have been watching her really closely over the last few hours. Kaede hadn't really noticed this boy at all. He was sitting next to her in class, but she hadn't given it much thought.

"And...why did he still suggest me?" the Tokoyami wanted to know, finding the offer very surprising. "He said you were good at writing."

Was that all there was? Osamu must have seen what hobby she had. Maybe it was because he had watched her during the first lesson. As far as Kaede could remember, she had looked at him briefly and smiled before looking at her watch.

"I know it's a bit sudden. But we need a new magazine for our volleyball team and someone to write our texts for the matches and the national championships. Since Osamu recommended you and spoke well of you, I thought you would be suitable." Oomi smiled and looked at the players, who were passing the ball around, while his deputy looked at everything in detail.

"So...it's just about the texts?" Kaede asked. She didn't want to be a manager or have anything to do with a sport. She simply didn't have that interest.

"Exactly. A lot of magazines write about personal things. Age, height and jumping power. But fans are also interested in the players, which is why there is often something personal about them. For example, why they play volleyball or what their goal is."

Kaede nodded in understanding. So it was only small texts that she could summarize well. With something like that, she could improve her writing style even further and get to know something else.

"All right, I'll do it." Kaede smiled, causing the trainer to exhale with relief. "Thank you very much." Oomi thanked him and was glad that Osamu had given him this recommendation.
