"Hmm."

She nodded, turned around, lowered her head, and walked into the house.

He followed behind her, staring at her back, and after hesitating several times, he still didn't ask the question he wanted to.

It wasn't until he silently finished washing the dishes, cleaned up the table and kitchen, that he put down his rolled-up sleeves and walked up to her.

"Stella, everything is cleaned up. Should I...go back now?"

He asked in a questioning tone, and she, who was constantly changing channels with the remote control, heard it but pretended not to and nodded.

"Okay, be safe on the way..."

As Henry picked up his suit jacket and walked out of the villa, he paused and turned back to look at her.

"We agreed that you would give me an answer after half a month. The time is up now. Can you give me an answer?"

She paused with the remote control in her hand.

She leaned against the sofa and was silent for a few seconds before speaking without any hesitation.

"It's still the same. I'm not good enough for you. Please give up on me..."

If Erin hadn't rape her, Stella might have had the courage to open her heart again and accept Henry.

But now, Stella felt that she didn't deserve such a good person like Henry.

"Can't I just stay with you until we grow old without getting married?"

She put down the remote control, raised her calm eyes, and looked at Henry standing at the door.

"Your parents wouldn't want you to live like this for the rest of your life."

He walked over and crouched in front of her.

"You've never met my parents, how do you know they won't accept you?"

Stella helplessly pursed her lips. She felt guilty just for seeing him, let alone meeting his parents.

"I'm too ashamed to meet your parents."

"Stella..."

She lifted her fair fingers and put on his lips.

"You said you fell in love with me when you saw me at the lecture, but maybe you only liked my glamorous appearance."

"Once you see the dirt inside me, you'll slowly start to hate me. So before that happens, you should give up on me."

"I still hope that someone in this world can remember my best side..."

After speaking, Stella walked past Henry and went upstairs.

But he rushed over and hugged her from behind.

The man's hoarse voice transmitted from his ear through his neck.

"You've always been the best in my eyes. Please don't make me give up on you because of this."

What he saw first was her standing on the podium, calmly and confidently lecturing a group of medical students...

But that didn't mean he only cares about appearances.

"After I learned about your experience, I felt more sympathy than anything. I've never looked down on you."

"I know, I know you don't look down on me, but I look down on myself."

As Stella responded to Henry in her heart, tears fell from her eyes.
