"Death." I answered once again. "What were you guys really talking about?" She tested. Raven looked at me. I sighed, pushing away my hair to reveal my hickey. "Did that happen here?" I nodded.

"When?"

"Two days ago."

"Where?"

"In my dorm."

"What girl did you have over?"

I paused. The school was homophobic. I would have to answer with a girl's name. At least if I didn't want to get in trouble for being myself. There was no way I was about to throw some lady I didn't even know under the bus.

"It's not a girl..."

"Who was it?"

"Jaxx..."

"Which one?"
"Jaxx Morningstar."

"Lucifer's son?""Yeah..."

She looked at Raven, then glaring at me. "Well I'll make sure to tell both of you kid's parents. Both of you can go to lunch now." She dismissed.

We both went to our table. "What happened?" Jaxx asked. I looked at Raven, putting her on the spot to answer. "I know what you did last night." She answered. "Homework." He said quickly. "The other thing." She said suggestively. "Well I don't know what you're talking about." He responded after a long pause. "Oh really?" She challenged. "No..." Jaxx muttered. "The thing that happened to your boyfriend's neck." She acknowledged. He slouched in his chair, blushing a little. "Oh by the way you're gonna be in a lot of trouble later." Raven mentioned. "Why?" Jaxx asked, his head perking up. "When we had to talk to Ms. Windslow after class she said she was going to tell both of your parents." She warned.

JAXX'S POV

My heart sank to my feet. If my dad found out- He already did. The school probably already called him to tell him what happened. "You okay...?" Hayden asked. I couldn't answer. I wasn't. I really really wasn't. Tears filled my eyes. I shoved them down the best I could. "Yeah I'm fine..." I croaked. My knees felt weak as I got up. "I-I'll be right back..." I said weakly. Before anyone could answer, I quickly went into the hall. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew it was away from so many people. People were the last thing I needed right now. I ended up in a cold dark janitor's closet with my wet feelings as I hyperventilated. I couldn't imagine going through this every night like Hayden had to. Any second my dad could appear in front of me to beat my ass. Or even worse. Someone knocked on the door. It was probably my father. No. He wouldn't have the courtesy to knock. Maybe it was the principle to drag me to him. The door rattled. "Jaxx?" Someone called out. I didn't answer in hopes the person wouldn't think I was in there- "It's me Hayden."
