Most of the group (Tohru, Uncle, Aster, Jackie, Jade) were on a mission to explore an old castle for Uncle during a thunderstorm. They were riding in a carriage to get there because Uncle wanted the 'authentic travel experience'. Tohru was the only one who knew how to actually use a carriage so he sat in the front.
"Once we get there, all the treasures inside will be Uncle's! Uncle has made the deal of the century!" - Uncle
"Yeah, you own Transylvania!" - J
"You've seen too many movies, Jade. It's just a castle...probably." - JC
He said. Ever since meeting Aster, they'd encountered magic and supernatural entities at every turn. When they reached the front gates of the old castle, there was a man waiting while holding a bunch of random items in his arms, and they started getting off the carriage to greet him.
"You've come for the antiques, yes?" - ???
"Yes, we-" - JC
"Nice to meet you." - Lam
A Chinese man said as he came up behind Jackie, scaring him.
"I'm Mr. Lam, manager of the estate." - Lam
He introduced himself.
"My assistant will load the antiques into your carriage while your deliver payment." - Lam
"Not so fast! Uncle will appraise the items first. Uncle doesn't want his shop to be full of junk." - Uncle
'Already is.' - J
"I heard that." - A
He scolded Jade while Uncle and Mr. Lam continued to argue.
"I assure you, each item is a priceless heirloom." - Lam
"Then you will not mind if I take the time to examine them." - Uncle
The two went back and forth until Mr. Lam relented.
"You may stay the night here in Song Si Manor while you appraise the items." - Lam
He bowed. Tohru grabbed their luggage and they entered the castle together. Lam and his assistant were apparently staying elsewhere, which Aster found suspicious.
The inside of the house was mostly fine, but it had some moss growing on the walls as well as some fallen debris from the upper floors.
"This place...is a gold mine!!" - Uncle
He said while examining a vase.
"Gather everything you can find! Every item is-" - Uncle
"Spooky!" - J
She said while pulling a tarp off a large stuffed bear.
"Jade, cut it out. You're gonna scare Jackie." - A
"I am not scared!" - JC
"Whatever you say, bud." - A
He said, not buying it for a second. He and Jade both left to explore the manor on their own, though Jade ran off in a different direction.
Aster peacefully strolled through the manor, using magic to fix it up and create some light. But that peace was interrupted, as usual.
"Jackiiie! Asterrr!!" - J
She came running towards Aster.
"There's a vampire! With fangs and claws!" - J
"You have claws too. And who knows? Maybe it's a friendly vampire." - A
He said while fixing a statue.
"No, it tried to grab me! Come!" - J
She dragged him to a room with an open, and empty, coffin.
