What if Cid chose to date Alexia instead of rejecting her? What if the "Master" of Shadow Garden took a more active role in the girl's lives? What if he noticed and accepted their feelings? How would the story play differently?

The scene brings back memories of when we were younger, shortly after Shadow had found us and brought us together. I still remember the conversation we had that day and how he decided to train them, not just to join our mission against Diablos but to ensure that they could protect themselves.
The memory brings a smile across my face. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I don't even realise I'm no longer alone.

I turn around, expecting to see Gamma as I could have sworn I'd caught a glimpse of her in the periphery of my vision but when I complete my turn I instead find myself standing face to face with Shadow.
