Chapter Fifty- One | Walks and Talks

We arrived in Canada, and the place was beautiful, Angela and Dave are too sweet and they made us a beautiful first meal, and I couldn't stop craving it, Killian and his Dad went off to have father and son time together then I went off to stay with Angela as she was already spoiling her Grandson even though he wasn't here yet, but it was too adorable.

Angela and I went into the city to have a little brunch as we talked about baby stuff and she also revealed a lot of things about Killian which I didn't know, it shocked me and some made me laugh, I was for sure gonna tease him about it later on.

And I knew damn well if my parents were here they would do the same thing and I was just so grateful they weren't here, especially after the long-awaited forgiveness I got from my Dad, basically my Mom had a few things to share with him, he sulked then got into her bad side then forgiveness happened when he called me, to be honest, I was upset about everything but I didn't want to share my emotions that much, it's weak.

An hour went by, and Angela and I were still sitting in the cafe as we drank our drinks and kept chatting, she looked at me "I think you're so perfect for Killian," she said with a sweet tone.

"Thank you, that's so sweet of you to say," I smiled as I drank my hot chocolate.

"I really mean it, his ex-girlfriend wasn't too nice," she said.

"Oh, his ex-girlfriend? I didn't know he had one," I raised my brow.

"She was called May Santiago, the girl that passed away with her brother," she said, I choked on my hot chocolate as she looked at me "You okay?" She handed me napkins, and I just nodded.

I was in shock, I didn't know he dated May, he only said that they had hookups together and that's it.

"Did you know how she died?" I asked, but she shook her head. I was thankful that she didn't know the truth.

"All I know was she cheated on Killian a lot but that boy would never listen to me, he kept telling me I was overthinking things then he went through a stage of not talking to me because he knew I was right, I'm telling you that boy can be stubborn," she vented a bit, I just nodded.

"I've had a lot of situations with him but we have always fixed it in the end, but that's a part of relationships, I'm happy that we do have disagreements because I think it would be weird if we were just perfect," I responded.

"That's why I like you, you understand the real meaning of marriage, not a lot of women do. I can tell you take after your Mom," she said as she finished her drink.

"I try my best to take after her as much as I can, I love her with all my heart," I said with a soft tone.

"I can tell, you're very family-oriented it's sweet to see, and I know Killian sees it too, he loves you very much darling," she said with a smile.

I nodded as I couldn't help but blush over the kind words.

Later on, it was night around 11:30 pm. Killian and I were sat outside in the backyard enjoying the silence, his hand was resting on my pregnant belly, he couldn't help but smile as I looked at him "Your Mom shared something with me and I don't want to cause an argument but I just wanted to know why you didn't tell me okay?" I looked at him again, and he just nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me you were in a relationship with May Santiago?" He looked at me and was a bit uncomfortable that I knew.

"I didn't think it would be inappropriate to say, my relationship with her was in the past," he said, as he looked at me.

"I get that, I just didn't know. I was quite shocked when your Mom told me," I said with a gentle tone.

He looked at me and rubbed my belly "You aren't mad with me right?" He asked.

"I could never baby, I just wanted to ask. I'm going to head to bed, my body is aching and it's been a long day," I stood up as he rested his hand on my back to balance me.

He gently kissed my cheek "I'll be up soon just gonna have a quick smoke," he said softly.

I nodded as I headed upstairs to get ready for bed, I decided not to have a shower until the morning, so I got into my nightwear and got into bed.

Eventually, Killian came upstairs he took off his clothes apart from his boxers and climbed into bed with me, he laid behind me, as my back was facing him as he kissed my back gently as we both fell into a sleep.
