Mary Margaret and David had come over to Jefferson's house to spend the day after they had helped Tiny the giant, and now they were all sitting in Jefferson's living room with Grace lying on the couch watching TV with her head in her papa's lap and she was watching a cartoon movie that was playing on a channel and David and Jefferson were smirking at the cartoon adaptation of Captain Hook with his long brown hair and long straight moustache but Jack and Grace were completely engrossed in the movie, Jack had little snowflakes hovering over him and Jefferson didn't question it because the boy seemed happy with them being there, he had a blanket just beside him that Jefferson had given him in case he got cold.
David and Mary Margaret had had a phone call from Emma explaining that Golds son and Kitty's brother was Henry's father and it was still mind boggling for David "So Rumpelstiltskin is Henry's grandfather?" David says and Jefferson looks over at him as Mary Margaret tilts his head to the side "Apparently." She says and David crosses his arms like a toddler in a huff "But I'm his grandfather." He says and Jefferson sarcastically slowly clapped his hands "wow well done David, I'm so proud of you for coming to that conclusion. Truly... a mind breaking discovery." Jefferson says and the two kids giggle but don't turn away from their movie and David glared at Jefferson as Mary Margaret pats her husbands arm "You can have more than one." She says and David takes a second to think about what this all means.
"So his...step-grandmother is Regina, the Evil Queen." David says and Mary Margaret hums as Jefferson begins running his hand over Grace's hair "Actually, his step-great-grandmother. And she's also his adoptive mother." She says and Jefferson just shakes his head in disbelief "It's a good thing we don't have Thanksgiving in our land, cause that dinner would suck." Jefferson says but Grace gently shakes her head "no it would just mean we get to eat even more food... think of all the mashed potatoes!" She says and Jefferson laughs looking down at her because she had always had a love for mashed potatoes he couldn't count the amount of times she had made Gold make her mashed potatoes back in his castle.
"Or, maybe this will mellow everyone out." Mary Margaret says and David is now watching the movie with the kids "I don't see the vision, what's the point in this film?" He asks and Grace looks up to try and see him "so that boy in the green is Peter Pan, and he leads that group of boys who are wearing the animal fur and they're called the lost boys! Captain Hook hates Peter Pan and he is always trying to catch Peter Pan but he never can... oh! And Captain Hook lost his hand because the Crocodile called Tick-Tock bit his hand off, but he's called Tick-Tock because he swallowed a clock so you can always hear him coming because of the ticking." Grace explains and David nods his head.
"And the girl is Wendy, she has two little brothers, John and Michael who she looks after." Jack adds on before Grace snaps her fingers as she remembers something "and the fairy is called tinker bell!" She says and David nods his head "seems boring... doesn't seem like it'd make sense." He says and Jefferson nods "oh your agreeing with me?" David says sarcastically and Jefferson narrows his eyes "oh definitely don't get used to it." He says and Mary Margaret shakes her head in disbelief, the two men acted like children... to be honest Jack and Grace were better behaved than David and Jefferson... she had no idea just how Kitty could deal with both of them at once.
"anyway... I was thinking Jefferson, why don't you join David at work today, you could use a break from worrying about the kids and I'll look after them for a little while and you can have some time to relax, join David on patrol, I'm sure he won't mind will you David?" She says and the look that David have her one hundred percent said that he would mind but she gave him a look and he forced himself to say "no... of course I wouldn't mind." He says and Snow just smirks "great, well you should really get going if you want to do that patrol." She says and David sends her a look as she just grins "fine..." he sighs trailing off and Grace looks up at her father
"You promise you'll be back soon?" She says and Jefferson nods his head, he knew that she was afraid that if he left he would never come back just like before...
