Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 63

I could not believe my life right now, everything about if felt surreal. I couldn't sleep at all last night mainly because we were all up all night being that Daniel took us to celebrate but Gloria had to leave at some point because...well she's married and can't be out too late, but also I was too happy to sleep

It's not everyday you just sew your way to becoming a fashion designer for a million dollar fashion industry, please tell me, wouldn't you be extremely and overly excited?

"I'm done with this" I said, handing Morgan some paper sheets

She takes them from me "alright so I'll just snap these and have my secretary prepare your work file"

Ahhh!

"Alright"

She places the sheets into her bag

"Okay um..about your phone, we have to fix that because you really need one, well along with a new sim of course so tomorrow you'll get your new phone and um.... we'll have to do a little shopping for you because you're traveling and all" she then picks up her phone and types away

"Hmm....okay so your phone will arrive tomorrow and if possible, your clothes too. I came with a private jet so that's what we'll be taking back, but we're leaving in a week...is that okay with you?"

It would be perfect if i wasn't leaving everything and everyone I know

"Sure" I just nod with a smile and she does the same before getting up

"Alright then, see you soon"

After she leaves, I actually start thinking about the fact that I'm leaving home in general. I never thought that I'd ever leave home, but to go places you do have to leave your comfort zone.

The door opens and Sophia comes in with some bags "I got the groceries" she uses her leg to close the door behind her and I help her out with the bags

"Did Morgan leave already?" I nod and we head to the kitchen

We place the bags down and she starts taking the groceries out "so what'd you want, stir fry pasta or spaghetti and meatballs?" When I didn't answer, she looked up at me

"Courtney what's wrong?"

"I'm just... I'm just thinking how I'm going to live in New York without my roomie"

She puts the groceries down and takes slowly steps towards me

"Courtney c'mon, you'll be the one to make me cry now" she takes both my hands

"I'm leaving in a week"

She frowns "a week? Already?"

I nod

"Wow" was all she said

"I'll call you everyday, I promise" I tell her

"And you are not allowed to have any best friend there who isn't me"

I frown "is that even possible?" She smiles before pulling me into a hug

"Please don't turn my house into a matrimonial home after I leave"

She chuckles "no promises"

"It was a pleasure once again Mr Lawson" I shook his hand

"Of course Eric. You're doing a really great job, keep it up" he said with a smile before working out my office

I take my seat again and turn my attention to my file before hearing a knock on my door
