Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 37

"When will you be back from your trip?" I asked, standing in front of my house door

"I'm really not sure yet, but it shouldn't take too much time"

I nodded

"Where to though?"

"The UK, London"

My eyes widened

"London? Is it a business trip?"

"Yes actually. We have a branch there and I haven't been there in a while so I really have to see how things are going" I explained

"Oh"

"I'll be back before you know it, just don't miss me too much" he smiled

I shake my head "I'm not making any promises"

He chuckled and leans in to give me a kiss but I kissed him first

I pulled back and he laughed a little, showing his million dollar smile

I stepped forward and placed a kiss on his cheek

He casually turned away, putting his hand over his mouthnand the other on his waist

"Awwwn you're blushing"

He only laughed and turned back to me

"Good night" I said to him

"Good night" I turned my keys in the lock and walked into the house, giving him one last glance before shutting the door

I lean on the door  and rest my hand on my chest, I felt it beating fast

I bit my bottom lip and ran to the window to peak through

He was walking towards his car and after he got in, he waited a little and drove off

I drew the curtain and rested my forehead on the bar

Couldn't help the small giggles that escaped my lips. I turned around to head to my room but I almost fell at the sight of Sophia and Jeffrey standing behind me with smiles on their faces looking like two Annabel dolls

"What the hell, you could have killed me"

"Someone looks happy" Jeff said

"Girl you're glowing"

I slowly walked past them "can we talk about this tomorrow, it's really late and...." I didn't even complete my sentence when they both pulled me to the couch

"How'd it go? Lovely necklace by the way" Jeff said with a smile

"Oh my god!" Sophia exclaimed excitedly when she noticed the necklace

"He gave that to you?" She asked and I nodded

"Holy shit, it's beautiful!" She touched the pendant "But necklace later, info now. How was it?"

What do I say

"Well he um..." there's really no use lying right?

"I'm...his girlfriend" I slightly whsipered

The next day came by so fast causing last night to fly by faster.

I sat up and threw my leg down, rubbing my eyes with my hand then putting my glasses on

I picked up my phone and it was 11 minutes past 8

"I wish I had a break" I sighed and got up, heading straight for the bathroom

After getting out and dressing up, I walked out the room and walked into the kitchen where Sophia was
