Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 18

I arrived home and i closed Eric's car door behind me before walking to my door step

"Thank you, I really enjoyed tonight" I smiled

"Me too, thank you for accepting to go out with me" his lips tugged up into a little smile while his hands were stuffed in his pants pocket

"Not a problem, have a good night" I turned my keys in the lock and went in after it unlocked

I closed the door behind me and immediately headed to the window, Eric was still standing outside. He kicked around a few rocks before getting into his car

I closed the curtains and leaned my forehead on the bars

What a night

I turned around and found Sophia smiling at me

What a creep

"Seriously? How long have you been standing there?" I asked her

"How long have you been staring?" She asked instead

"I wasn't staring" I clarify

"Oh you weren't?"

"Good night" I walked passed her

"You know you owe me details right" i heard her say

"Tomorrow" and I closed my room door

I really need some rest, tomorrow's another day.

Eric's POV

"I'll get right to it sir" Clare, my secretary walks out

I lean back in my office chair with one hand resting on my arm rest and the other rested on the table while i tapped gently with my fingers

I kept replaying the dinner from two days ago and from last night, from when she couldn't hold her wine glass and couldn't use the cutlery. She wasn't elegant like most women I've gone to dinner with but funny enough she's the one I was most impressed with

I leaned my head back when I heard a knock on the door. The door opens up and Daniel walks in closing it behind him

"Hey" he walk towards me and takes a sit

I stared at him for a while before saying "finally decided to come out"

He sighed "I'm sorry, I really didn't want to see anyone"

He hadn't spoken to anyone since Crystals opening, he wasn't picking up and wasn't seeing anyone. I knew everything with Cristin still affected him, but I didn't know it affected him this much

"I'm really sorry about me mum, I really am" I sit up straight

"Don't worry about it, I really want to move on from that. How's work" he changes the topic

"It's been good so far." I clear my throat "Daniel I um...I want to talk to you about something"

He tilts his head
