Chapter 46

"MFE's fashion show is approaching fast, a lot anticipates the new design the company has for us" the news cast said excitedly

Guess I wasn't the only one anxiously waiting for the fashion show. It was only a few months left to the show and If I could, I'd fly straight to New York to watch the show

Paying to watch the sw is another thing though...ugh

Did I mention Brittany and Chloe loved their outfit? Especially Brittany

I felt good when they talked about how much they loved it.....loved it

I was seated in my shop...bored and alone. Sophia went to get lunch and I didn't have anything to make, I haven't gotten any job in 2 days

Sad right?

The door opens up and Sophia walks in with two plastic bag

"Food's here" she rushes beside me and sets the bags down

"So anyone asked for an outfit yet?" She asked and I shook my head

She pouts "don't worry, you'll get one" she starts bringing out the contents of the bag

"Let's chow" she said while staring at the food excitedly

She and Jeff have no difference, a match made in heaven

Third person POV•

People passed by in front of Martinez Constructions, people trooping in and out of the company. A black SUV stops in front of the company and to a lot of the employees surprise, it was Mrs Martinez.

Everyone stopped their chitchat to acknowledge her and she barely replied to their greetings while she walking in

She walked past the receptionist before she called out to her

"Mrs Martinez" Clare quickly walked up to her

"Good afternoon ma'am" she said

"Yes?"

"Um..ma'am you remember a while ago you said you'd pay me if i gave you information about Mr Eric"

Now she had Barbara's attention "yes I do, you helped me publicize the thing about my son and Mina and that helped in getting Theresa back so yes I remember"

Clare nodded and said "he has a girlfriend"

Barbra raised a brow "excuse you?"

"He does ma'am, Courtney Jones" she told her

Barbra couldn't help it and laughed

"Clare please say something sensible, I need to see my son and don't have the time for this" she started walking away

"She came here yesterday" Barbara stopped and turned around

"Sorry?"

Clare walked over to her "she came here yesterday to see him, when I told her to leave, Mr Martinez came over and when he found out I didn't want to let her in, he got upset with me

"He got upset with you? Wait hold on Clare, do you know what you're saying? My son, heir to the Martinez fortune is dating a street rat, can you hear yourself?" She started getting upset

"Ma'am he took her to his office and after, they both went out" she added

Barbra remained quiet before asking "where's my son?"

"He stepped out"

She brought out her phone and dialed a number, when the person picked up, she said

"I want you to do something for me, I want a background research on someone called Courtney Jones, from her childhood to her relationship life currently and I want it fast" she hangs up and says to Clare "I still have your account details, if it's true I'll transfer your money to you"

She walks out of the building and Clare walks back to post. Her eyes landed on one of the employees walking past giving her a side eye

She doesn't think too much on it and just get back to work

Courtney's POV

"God I'm really hungry" Sophia sighs

I turned to her then check my phone "we literally just ate 30 minutes ago"

"But I'm still hungry,... maybe I'm pregnant!" She excitedly said

I raised both my brows "what?"

"Like it's a possibility right?"

"It cannot be a possibility, do guys have the capability to take care of a child now?" Does she have any idea what it takes

"Jeez calm down, I'm not pregnant, but idea seems nice" she smiles

I face palm myself and get back to work

"It's not a bad thing if I am though"

I decided to ignore her and just go on with my sewing
