"It's coming out beautifully" Sophia smiled

She sat with me while I continued on Brittany's dress, everything was really coming together and I was almost down

"So I was thinking you'd get a new dress for your date, you hardly ever buy gowns" Sophia spoke

"Why were you eavesdropping on our conversation to begin with?"

"You knew I would" she stated plainly

I kind of did

"You'll get a really nice gown" she told Me

"Nothing too expensive though" I told her and she rolled her eyes

"I heard Miss Romano's new movie's coming out soon so she'll be back in LA soon" she said

"Wait, she left?" I never knew she wasn't in LA to begin with

"Yep. The new movie's in Singapore"

"Wait how do you know all these" I didn't

"I'm more active on social media than you are"

True.

"So how's your relationship with Jeff's mum" I changed the topic

She sighed "I don't think it's getting any better. She seems upset that Jeffrey would be spending any dime of the money he'll be making on me"

I scrunched up my nose "is she serious? Jeffrey's been doing that even before Eric hired him, she didn't talk much then so Why's she suddenly upset now?"

Sophia shrugged "i really don't know"

Jeffrey's had a hard life, most times I feel like everything his mother does just makes things harder for him, good thing they aren't living together because Sophia going over to his house all the time would have definitely been a problem

"It's really not funny being In a relationship when one person parent doesn't like their child's partner" she sighed

I've never been in that position, and hopefully, I pray never to be

"Cheer up boo" I told her with a smile and she smiled back

"I'm hungry" she muttered

I rolled my eyes "when are you never" I looked down at the dress I was sewing

There wasn't much work left so I could spare some time to eat

"Alright, let's go"

Eric's POV

"We've contacted the workers and the construction will begin in a few days"

I sat quietly as Jeffrey did all the explaining, I had to admit that he was a very fast and efficient learner

"All transactions have been made from my company so there shouldn't be any issue concerning funds" Mr Lawson said

"Of course not sir"

Mr Lawson nodded "I'll be out of the country for a fews days for an off work matter so please if you have any questions or any information, my assistant should be able to help you

"That's not a problem" I replied to him

He stood to his feet and gave a little nod before leaving

I stood and buttoned my suit

"Did you make the reservation like i asked?" I turned to Jeffrey and he nodded

"Thank you" I said before leaving
