At the royal castle:

"The council of wise men will now enter."

Subaru looks around:

"Where am I supposed to go?"

"Yo, there's where we're supposed to stand."

"Sup, Alde- ummm you don't like being called that way."

"It's Al. For a knight, you're the only one I can tolerate."

"Man these clothes don't suit me at all."

"I know what you mean, bro."

They take their place.

"Those clothes look fitting for you, Subaru-kun." Reinahrd simply radiates light and happiness.

"Aren't you exaggerating just a bit" Subaru laughs nervously.

"Nope, ever since that day, I knew you would be here with all of us, congratulations on your promotion."

"Hiya, Subaru-kyun" Felix tried to jump hug Subaru, only to find a forcefield

"Ferris-san, I don't like to be touched, please don't take it personally, it's the same for everyone."

"How cruel. And it's -chan"

"I'm not calling a boy a girl, unless you identify as a girl."

"Nyeheeee, I'm a boy, I'm surprised nyou know."

"Well since we are rivals I should take better care not to reveal all my cards from my hand."

"Nya, how mysterious..."

Subaru notices Julius passing by him, they lock eyes.

"Listen, I'm sorry about offending your spirits and your arts, it was really petty of me. I know how contracts are important and irreplaceable. But everything else, I mean it."

"Perhaps, there still is a chance for you to see the right way."

Subaru shakes his head in contempt:
"You're really something, aren't you?"

"Subaru-kun is something the matter?" Reinahrd tilts his head.

Subaru taps his cheek:
"Hmm let's see: personality clash; ideology clash; oh, and a love rival too. I know he had a rough life, but we might never go along, if he decides to be all snobby about it."

Felix tilts his head:
"Nyou said, rough life, what do nyou mean?"

"I can see cursed energy. It's born from negative emotions. You and Mr. Knight over there have quite a lot accumulated. Actually scratch that every knight representative and Al, has led an excruciating existence."

" 'ppreciate not calling me a knight, bro."

"Nyou have some kind of divine protection?"

"No this is different. Something that doesn't come from this world, because it's blind to cursed energy. Not a single Jujutsu sorcerer existed for more than 400 years, perhaps maybe never."

"Nyou give me answers, but I end up with more questions instead, nyaha..."

Reinhard adopts a curious tone:
"By the way, I'm surprised you're not wearing your brother's glasses, Subaru-kun."

"Ah, it's because in a formal setting I use a blindfold as  Emilia's knight. It is my first and most cherished possession I received from her. I look like a very representative of justice don't I. Quite cool if I do say so myself."

"Justice?" Reinahrd adopts a curious tone.

Al speaks in a laid back muffled tone from his helmet:
"From where I and lil' bro come from lady justice wears a blindfold, because she needs to remain impartial to the fate of those prosecuted."
