"Where are we going so early Athens?"
My bestfriend sighed as she parked the car behind an array of stores in a brooding and slightly alarming neighbourhood.
"To just walk around and see if something calls out to us. I heard there's a fortune teller and an old vintage book store around here. Anything helps Clara, we need to find out what this curse really entails. So much has happened to us and we never had time to be told or fully explore for ourselves."
"So the blind leading the blind then? Great." She hissed as she sipped her coffee. She never was a morning person.
"Pretty much."
"We'll I guess we have those idiots to thank for never taking their time to tell us what to expect in the long run."
I went quiet as I got out of the car, grabbing my purse and latte and smirking over at her as she followed my lead. "Yeah, I mean Jimin did try for a bit to help, I just-didn't want it."
"Sorry babe I didn't mean-"
"It's okay, we have to be okay talking about them. They were the ones who were in the midst of all this with us. Did Yoongi ever tell you anything of reason about all this? Warn you?"
She nodded as she looked down at her cup, sadness instantly flashing across her face.
'Fuck'
"Clar you don't-"
"I'm fine. We weren't together, it was nothing."
I kept my mouth shut as we linked arms and headed towards the sidewalk to walk the strip of shops, music blared from street musicians and food trucks hit the air and made my stomach gargle in hunger and not for the street food kind.
"He told me that it was a curse that was for life, and that technically we were immortal as long as we fed. If we didn't and chose to starve ourselves then mortality would still find us."
I continued to walk as I listened, everything she was saying was making sense to me. I remember hearing a lot from Jimin, and for some reason retaining nothing. God I was such a brat sometimes.
