Alpha Dominic's pov

As I stepped into Oracle Sage's study, a room steeped in ancient wisdom and shadows, I felt a deep sense of reverence.

The dimly lit room seemed frozen in time, its wooden bookshelves towering high, adorned with leather-bound volumes that whispered secrets of centuries gone by.

Each book appeared to have a story of its own, as if they were guardians of the past, ready to reveal their ancient wisdom to those who sought it.

The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows on the pages, adding an ethereal quality to the place, like a portal to another world where the past and the future converged.

"Oracle Sage," I began, a tone of respect in my voice, "I have come to seek your counsel, for the path ahead is shrouded in uncertainty, and your wisdom is a guiding light."

Sage's perceptive gaze, with its uncanny ability to discern truths that often-eluded others, seemed to peer into the depths of my soul. Her serene presence and the stillness of the room made me acutely aware of the gravity of the moment.

There was a profound connection between her and the accumulated knowledge that surrounded us, a connection that transcended the physical world and delved into the realm of the unseen.

Sage acknowledged my presence with a nod, her expression holding the promise of revelations to come. As we delved into our conversation, I found solace in her guidance, knowing that her insights would illuminate the path for Silvermoon and its pack.

"Alpha Dominic," she spoke in that cryptic manner that always left me with a sense of both dread and fascination, "the threads of destiny weave a complex tale, and we should tread carefully. But you, Alpha Dominic, have accomplished what no other werewolf could. You've roused the moon goddess to new heights of anger." She chuckled, without much humor.

"Rejecting your mate because you thought she was human and would bring down your status as Alpha and show you as less powerful, less fearless, less strong. You've managed to get on the moon goddesses' bad side and has managed to feel her wrath. Now your pack is in unrest," she continued before adding, "Now you want my help, you want me to help you reverse the curse. You're asking for a lot, Alpha Dominic."

Thought she was human? Wasn't my mate actually human?

A chuckle escaped once again from Sage as if she knew exactly what I was thinking.

I took a seat, my expression a mix of regret and urgency. "Oracle Sage, I know I made a grave mistake in rejecting my mate, Freya. I thought I was preserving the status and strength of our pack, but I see now that it was a foolish decision, and it's brought chaos to Silvermoon."

Sage's unwavering gaze met mine as her voice remained calm and deliberate. "Alpha Dominic, it's imperative that you grasp the full weight of the curse invoked by the Moon goddess. It's a formidable and often unalterable force, and the actions you took had serious repercussions that extended far and wide."

"While there have been others who erred in the same manner as you in the past, the Moongoddess chose to make an example of you, marking you as the last straw. Her intention is to impart a profound lesson to the other packs, a lesson that would be lost if we were to remove the curse. You see, she has issued these warnings for an extended period, even in the form of your dreams, and yet they went unheeded."

My mind roamed back to the dreams I had received just before my mate. Those dreams hadn't explicitly revealed that my mate would be human.

Instead, they conveyed the message that a mate should be cherished, irrespective of any circumstances, a message that I had foolishly disregarded.

Desperation welled up within me, and I implored, "Oracle Sage, I beg you to consider any way, any possibility, no matter how challenging or difficult. I cannot bear to see my pack in unrest, to know that I've caused such suffering. Please, there must be something we can do."

As an alpha, I had never found myself in a position where begging was necessary. However, my own foolish actions had brought me to this point. I needed to rectify the mistakes of the past in order to secure a brighter future for my pack.

Sage's response held the weight of her wisdom as she said, "I will explore the ancient texts and seek the guidance of the spirits. But I want you to be prepared for the possibility that the path to redemption may be fraught with great sacrifice and uncertainty. The Moongoddess's wrath is a force to be reckoned with, and reversing her curse will not come easily."

Sage's sightless eyes held a somber expression as she spoke, "Alpha Dominic, you know I can easily fix your issue. I wish I could ease your burden and provide a solution, but you already know the cost would be too great, I'm sure you were told of the consequences from the white witch Thalia when you sort her assistance."

I nodded, fully aware of the constraints upon her. "I understand, Sage. The Moongoddess has her ways, and I don't want to see you pay the price."

Sage continued, "The Moongoddess's intentions aren't merely about your punishment, Alpha Dominic. It's a message to all the packs, a warning. She seeks to remind us of the balance we must maintain with nature and the consequences of our actions."

I swallowed hard, the weight of the situation pressing on me. "I accept the gravity of the lesson, and I will do everything in my power to mend the damage I've caused, even if it takes a lifetime."

"Good, I'm sure you know that this will cost you."

Sage, with her enigmatic wisdom, spoke in a riddle that left me pondering. "Alpha Dominic, amidst the shadows of your choices, there lies a treasure of untold beauty, a beacon of hope that shall reveal itself if the stars align and the tides of fate converge."

I furrowed my brow, trying to decipher the cryptic message. "Sage, what do you mean by 'a treasure of untold beauty'?"

It was evident that she was trying to convey that great opportunities lay ahead, but I needed to understand whether there were specific actions required on my part to make these positive changes come to fruition.

Sage's gaze remained unfathomable as she replied, "The answer you seek will come when the time is right, Alpha Dominic. It is a riddle that only the hands of destiny can unravel."

"Stay here for a few more days Alpha Dominic. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with the results of your search." Sage smiled.
