Mark's POV

On this cold, December afternoon, I was lying on the couch, all snuggled up in blankets. I did not want to move because once again, I was sick.

I felt really bad because Sean had come to visit me for Christmas right when my body decided to undergo the process of becoming ill. He was now taking care of me instead of enjoying the holiday season here in America.

I scooted deeper into the cocoon of blankets I was wrapped up in. I had a fever, but you know that sometimes when you have a fever, you can get chills and you start to feel very cold. Plus, it was winter, so that meant snow, icy wind, and very cold days. Today was one of those cold days, which made my sickness even worse for me.

Sean had made me chicken noodle soup, and it tasted so good since it was hot. It also tasted good because he was an exceptional cook, surprisingly.

I finished my soup a little while ago, but as soon as I was done, I just became colder. I knew Sean had turned up the heat in my apartment, I watched him do it. It still wasn't helping me, though.

I shivered as I watched whatever TV show was on. I didn't know, because I don't watch TV that often, I've said that before. Sean was sitting in the recliner next to the couch, and I saw him glancing over at me a few times, all wrapped up in what seemed like 20 blankets even though I knew I probably only had about five. After a while, he spoke up.

"You're still cold, aren't you, Mark?" he asked me as he watched my teeth chatter. I clenched my teeth to try to get them to stop, and answered him as best as I could.

"Y-yeah. I-I am." I stuttered because of my damn chattering teeth. Why was I the one who had to get sick and become cold as fuck?

Sean chuckled a little bit as he got up and came over to me. He rested his hand on my forehead to check on my fever, and frowned when he pulled away.

"Yep, you're fever is definitely still there. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better, and so you could become warmer..." He furrowed his eyebrows as he thought.
"I already gave you medicine, and you've got so many blankets. What else could I possibly do?" he questioned, seeming defeated. I thought for a moment, and a small smile crept onto my lips as an idea came to mind.

"Well, you could lay down with me. You would be transferring body heat from yourself, to me, and I'm sure it would make me feel much better." I smiled up at him with a slight blush visible on my cheeks. He had a bit of a surprised look on his face as well as flushed cheeks, but he granted me what I wished for to make me feel better.

I opened up my cocoon of blankets, and he crawled in next to me. I wrapped us both back up, and then I wrapped my arms around his torso from behind. I then nuzzled my face into his neck and smiled goofily to myself. I was already feeling much warmer.

I could tell Sean was feeling warmer, too. Or maybe that was just the heat from the blush on his cheeks that I could feel? I wasn't too completely sure, but I was sure of something else; I loved Sean, and as we both got warmer, I just thought about the warmth as the burning love that was growing between us in each of our hearts.
