Karishma couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as she walked into the room for her simulation test. Her heart was pounding, and doubts filled her mind. However, when she saw Captain Grey, his reassuring presence and words of encouragement instantly boosted her confidence. He had always considered her one of his best co-pilots. With this newfound confidence, Karishma entered the simulator.

As the simulation unfolded, she handled every scenario with skill and precision. It was as if she hadn't taken any breaks at all. Her responses were sharp, and her decision-making was on point. As the test progressed, the observers and her senior colleagues watched in awe. She displayed the kind of proficiency and confidence that made it seem as if she had been flying continuously without any break. She had not only passed the test but had done so with flying colors. Her colleagues and superiors couldn't help but applaud her outstanding performance.

It was late afternoon, and Karishma's excitement was palpable as she dialed Pushpaji's number. She couldn't contain her joy.

"Amma, Amma, I am so happy!" Karishma exclaimed over the call as she stepped out of the office.

Pushpaji's voice on the other end was filled with anticipation. "Haan, Krishu, woh toh sunai de raha hai teri awaaz se."

Karishma, trying to contain her excitement, asked, "Amma, I have two good news for you. Which one would you like to hear first?"

Out of curiosity, Pushpaji eagerly asked, "Krishu, jaldi se bata, kya khabar hai?"

"Acha acha," with a playful pause, Karishma finally revealed, "Pehli khabar ye hai ki main apne duties kal se join kar rahi hoon."

Pushpaji couldn't contain her joy and shouted excitedly, "Yeaaaah!"

Karishma instinctively held the phone a bit farther from her ears, still wearing a wide smile matching her mother's enthusiasm.

"Amma, shant," Karishma said, her voice trembling with excitement and her eyes brimming with tears. "Can you believe it, Amma? I will be flying again; my dream, my passion, I will be back."

Pushpaji's eyes welled up too as she responded, "Mere aankho ke taare, mujhe pata tha tu kar legi."

Karishma simply nodded in response, her emotions were too overwhelming for words. Pushpaji chuckled from the other end, urging, "Krishu, aab dusri khabar toh bata."

Karishma, in a playful tone, responded, "Amma, woh main aake bataungi."

Pushpaji, unable to contain her curiosity, pleaded once more, "Krishu, tujhe pata hai na ye suspense mujhse saha nahi jata, please bata na."

"Amma please, ye surprise aapke aur Galib k liye hain, aur ise batane se acha aap dekhle toh aapko jyada khushi hogi," replied Karishma, her voice filled with anticipation.

Pushpaji considered this for a moment and then said, "Thik hai, jaisa tujhe thik lage, bas."

Karishma smiled and continued, "Acha suniye, Mujhe yahan aur thoda time lagega, toh main na yaha se directly Galib ko saath mein lene aur batane uske office jaungi, fir hum saath mein aa jayenge."

Before Pushpaji could respond, Haseena, who had been silently listening to the conversation between mother and daughter, nodded in disapproval. Unbeknownst to Karishma, Haseena had returned home early that day, unable to concentrate with the anticipation building up. She had been right beside Pushpaji during the entire conversation while the phone was on speaker. Tears streamed down her cheeks as Pushpaji, understanding Haseena's unspoken emotion, responded to Karishma, "Thik hai, aaram se jana, bye mere aankhon ke taare."

"Bye, Amma," replied Karishma before hanging up the call.

As Pushpaji hung up the call, she turned towards Haseena, curiosity gleaming in her eyes, and inquired, "Tune use batane kyu nahi diya?"
