I don’t care what I allowed in the past, try me today.

Imana pov…

Brayson is getting better especially when he has Valencia.

Blaze and Nadine are pregnant and he seems happier. We talked and sorted everything out, he also talked to Blyana. He later then spoke to Brayson.

Elliot is just there and in his own world.

Vincent is confusing. I know he cares for the twins but he is approaching it the wrong way. He is making them hate him more and it’s not looking good for him.

Davin is happy with Shauni. I see them getting married soon.

Tobias…

I thought he would let me go but I guess not. I told him to move on with his life and love someone else, he won’t listen. This is exactly how our marriage was before I ran away.

When we were young, he would flirt, try to get me to talk to him, tell everyone I was his only love.

We're older now and he still does the same thing.

How am I supposed to push his mind away from me?

Far from me.

Blyana pov…

“Miles, you can go on break.” I said, still looking at this woman. “My break isn’t until another 30 minutes,” he said. “And I’m giving you an extra 30 minutes, you can leave.” I looked at him and he nodded.

He walked out, closing the door.

“You're just as beautiful as your mother.” She tried to walk up to me but I put my hand in front of her to stop her. “Who are you?” I asked and her eyes widened.

“I am your grandmother, Shaye. Your mother didn’t tell you about me?” I scoffed. “What is really there to tell? That her mother was always sitting and crying while her husband beat the shit out of her and her siblings.”

Her eyes widened and began to water a bit.

“No, no that’s not- it’s not… oh my gosh.” She sat down and put her hand on her face.

“How did you find this place?” I asked, looking at her. “Well, it was announced that Blyana Clarke was the new ruler of the Aelin Empire on the underworld news. When I saw your face, I immediately knew that you were my granddaughter.” she smiled.

“So why are you here then?”

“For two things.” I raised my eyebrows. “First, I want to get to know my granddaughter and all my other grandkids.”

“What’s the second?” I asked, getting bored.

“You need to watch out for Robert.” I sat down in my chair with my elbows on the table. “Robert? You mean, your husband.” She nodded. “I don’t know where he is right now and I mean it, I really don’t know. All I know is that he is working with two people to not only kill you but your mother, aunt and uncles.”

“Why should I believe you? When they needed you, you were in your own world.” I scoffed. “I didn’t have power then and I still don’t have now but you have to believe me. Robert always wanted your mother and her siblings to suffer.”

“Why though?”

She looked down, “Your mother and Ivan aren’t exactly his biological children.” My eyes widened, “Their father died when they were just 3 months so they never really knew him. When they were 8 months old, I married Robert not knowing he was going to turn out like this.”
