Zero woke to a sharp knock on his door. The entity grumbled, turning in his bed slightly.
"Who is it?" He forced the words out.
"Ash. Meet us in my room, we're prepared to give you the host club experience we promised you."
Zero grumbled in response, drifting back to sleep as he listened to Ash's footsteps leave and echo down the hallway. He let out another sleepy mumble, before his eyes opened quickly. Wait...did he just accidentally agree to being a customer to the host club!? Zero nearly choked as he sat up, and flung his covers off. Fuck. It was bad enough I was being flirted with, now I have to be flirted with!? The entity quickly shoved some clothes on and left his room, running his hand through his hair to try to straighten it out presentably enough. He practically slid down the corridor, passing Seraphim, who gave him a confused eyebrow raise. Then, he finally reached the door. Ash's bedroom. Zero rubbed his eyes to try and make it look as though he'd been awake before hand, before gently knocking the wood of the door. The door opened, Ash smirking up at him; with his charming signature expression.
"Welcome to Blood Rose's temporary location abroad. I'm Ash, Prince of Hosts at this establishment," Ash hummed, reintroducing himself; clearly part of the script.
Ash kissed Zero's hand, lingering over Zero's a little too long to be politeness. As he pulled his lips away, he took a deep breath, as though inhaling the entity's scent. His obsessive vampire act is a little too over-the-top; yet partially effective.Ash bowed and flashed a confident smile," Now, allow me to introduce Finn."
He gestured behind himself to Finn, the male's face inexpressive.
"Good evening, master," Finn's voice was like silk to the ears.
So Ash is the charming one and Finn is the cool, unaffected one. Wow, clubs really take their archetypes seriously. Ash gestures to Brett and Nils.
"And this is Brett and Nils. You, my lovely, will have a short 'round' with each of us, to see who you prefer the most. Brett, you start with master Zero."
Brett nods, flashing a small, friendly grin.
"May I?" He practically giggles, holding his hand out.
Zero hesitates, before setting his hand in his. Slightly chilly, like holding a glass of refrigerated water; yet his personality was entirely opposing. Brett pulled Zero along to a side door, leading to a booth-like room: shutting it behind himself, gingerly. Brett beamed as Zero sits with him.
"Master Zero, I feel so lucky to be the first to win some time with you!"
Brett gently embraced Zero, the entity paused. For someone so child-like, he had a decently muscular build. Brett sniffed, before whispering into Zero's ear.
"Master, you smell delectable."
"...Thanks..." Zero blushed, watching as Brett pulled away.
A small blush covered his face, yet Brett quickly snapped out of it; flashing a cute, boyish smile.
"My mistake, master. It's hard to resist temptation, you see," He spoke innocently, bowing his head.
Zero blushed, gulping and nodding; Brett's eyes moving towards the clock with a pout.
"That's my turn over, it seems it's Finn's now."
Brett grabbed hold of Zero's hand, kissing the back of it.
"Great to see you, master Zero. Pick me as your host if you want."
"T-Thanks- Brett-"With Brett gone, Finn elegantly appeared; already expertly popping open a bottle of champagne. His voice was calm, unaffected; true to his character.
"It seems Brett neglected to give you a drink. Allow me..."
"Oh, was he supposed to?" Zero frowned.
"Yes, he was," Finn let a chuckle softly escape his lips.
A man of few words, admittedly his presence was somehow soothing. Finn arched a curious eyebrow as he set the bottle down, handing Zero a glass. Something flashed in his eyes as he smoothly slid closer to Zero, his leg pressing against his.
"Have a sip of champagne, master Zero. It'll help you to relax."
The way his eyes trailed down to Zero's neck sent an unusual shiver down his spine. Finn slightly leaned closer.
"Your scent is... intoxicating," He practically melted.
Despite Zero's efforts, it felt as though his face had been lit on fire. These vampires. Finn was so close, so Zero sighed, deciding to give in; since it was all roleplay.
Zero smirked, sarcastically," My scent is 'intoxicating'? I haven't heard that before. Been watching a lot of vampire films, have you?"
Finn's brows furrowed, yet Zero couldn't tell what to make of his expression. Then, Finn equals the entity's deadpan.
"A beautiful blossom with a prickly stem," Finn sighed," You're an intriguing creature, Master Zero. Drink up, and this exquisite rosé will hopefully lighten your cynicism."
He kept that together well.
"If you insist," Zero mumbled, taking a small sip.
As he drank, Finn casually caressed the side of his neck with the tips of his fingers. The entity swallowed hard, his body freezing in place, whilst Finn's warm breath brushed his scales. Finn's voice dropped to a low whisper.
"I want one little taste..."
Zero's voice caught in his throat, but forces himself to speak.
"I-um... I'm glad I'm so tempting, but I'd like to finish my glass, if you don't mind."
Zero cracked a half smile as he pulled back and pushed his glasses up.
"But of course, my deepest apologies, Master. May I serve you the chocolate lava cake?"
"Oh, sure."
Finn pulled the decadent dessert from the cart beside him and placed it in front of Zero; along with a pink drink.
Zero turned to see Nils sliding in on the other side of the booth.
"I see my time is up," Finn hummed," Do enjoy yourself, Master Zero. I hope you'll choose me as your host."
"Oh, thank you, Finn," Zero blushed slightly.Finn bowed and left.
"I see you just got some dessert and the Pink Flamingo cocktail," Nils stated, looking at the drink.
"Do you know what's in it?" Zero asked.
The corner of his mouth turned up into a sinisterly alluring smirk.
"I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. Or at least bite you."
Zero went speechless. Part of him wanting to laugh at his directness, the other darkly intrigued by the idea of a vampire bite.
They really do make fantasy real here.
"You don't mess around with acting, do you?" Zero hummed, raising an eyebrow," I don't suppose you actually bite your customers-"
Zero's cut off as Nils slams his hand against the back of the booth, right beside his head. The entity's heart pounds against his chest as Nils' piercing eyes glare straight into his own.
"Who said anything about acting?"
His other hand wrapped around Zero's neck, yet he exerted no pressure. The vampire slowly leaned in, grinning, allowing Zero to catch a glance at his bared fangs.
"And I'll bet you'd like to know exactly what I do in private sessions, Master."
It felt as though something had been ignited in Zero. Am I...thrilled by this!? Even if this is a performance, the sudden aggression is too much. Zero pushed his hand off his neck, Nils staggered back in surprise.
"Don't get carried away with your little game," Zero remarked, a hint of venom to his tone," And don't ever mistake me for a pushover."
He stared at Zero, eyes wide. At first glance it looked like shock, but then his lips slowly curled back into a sly smile.
"Master, I would never want you to be a pushover. Where would be the fun in that?"
Zero glanced back at Nils fangs as he flashed a smug smile.
"Okay," Zero inhaled, calming," I get it. You have a character to play. Just...keep your hands where I can see them."
"I'll keep my hands off. For now."
What an audacious guy... Zero could sense Nils' eyes glued to him as he took a few small nibbles of the lava cake. Until Ash ambles up to the table, glancing from Nils to Zero and back.
"That's no way to treat a newcomer, Nils," Ash's tone is subtly sharp.
Nils first narrowed his eyes at Ash, but then he leaned back in his chair, all nonchalant.
"Just trying to keep things interesting. Not everyone wants to spend time with Mr.Perfect."
"Oh?" Ash shot a smug grin," If that's so, I wouldn't be the Prince of Host's now, would I?"
Nils narrowed his eyes at Ash, who boldly returned the gaze. He worked his jaw, as though he wanted to say something to Ash, until he ultimately decided against it. Instead, Nils stood up and glanced at Zero before exiting. That was tense...
