OKAY.AZ THINKS TO HERSELF. SHE SCRATCHES HER HEAD staring at the mysterious sign. Just like she had promised, she decided first thing in the morning (surprising herself for even getting up early) to go to the Lodge. She pretended she had some paperwork to drop off to William. (He wasn't even there at the moment.) Before setting off to where the owl now named Ebony had led her.
Speaking of, said owl, who was also perched on her shoulder this time than usual. Ebony had hung around AZ the whole night and didn't seem to want to leave. So after numerous debates with herself, she eventually let in and decided to keep the owl as a companion. Named her Ebony because of her nightshade fur. For a good while it might be nice to have the owl as a friend to help her not feel lonely. So AZ let up.
And that's how they found themselves here. In the woods. AZ braces herself. "What could really be in there?" She asked Ebony who simply chirped in response. "I was expecting that answer." The teen girl shakes her head as she feels the sound of the tree branches beneath her feet break. It's now or never she thought.
