A HAND REACHES OUT AS AZ HAS NO TIME TO RESPOND WHEN NICK GRABS HER AND BREES SHOULDERS PULLING THEM UP. "Wha-" But she stops when she notices his worried look and Brees' eyes shut.
No no no there's no way.
"She's gonna be alright." Nick says slightly out of breath. AZ shakes Bree in her arms. "Just follow me. I can take her to a place where she'll be just fine." The logical thing AZ should have done was run and take Bree with her. But she always was lost when it came to logic so her instinct was to trust Nick for the time being.
"You saved our lives." She says shakily. "I'm not gonna doubt you." This was crazy enough, Nick knew about the magic world. She had to trust him.
"I know a healer at the lodge. I can take her there." He says as he gently grabs her from AZs arms. She was a bit hesitant but her arms were too weak to resist. "You alright?" She nods weakly and gives him a slight thumbs up.
"I'm going with you." But Nick shakes his head.
"It's too dangerous."
"No offense, cricket dude but I'm not at the stake to ask for permission and then dip when you say no. I need to be there when she wakes up. She needs me." Even though it wasn't the time, Nick's lip slightly twitched at AZs nickname for him.
