Chapter 104 - Goodbyes: Not Done Yet

Start from the beginning

With the next attack that she called Thunder Breed Tempo, she was able to bend the lightning on her command, swirling around the targets as smooth as smoke, before striking them with a loud boom. I quietly awed the sight, as the light flashed across all of our faces.

Now, the two enemies and Ceaser were falling through the air, unable to prepare themselves for the fall.

Nami walked away, as Usopp stepped forward, with a large piranha plant on the back of his slingshot, which he called Special Attack: Meteor Storm Assault.

From what I could see, the rubble and debris that his piranha plant ate, was now being spat out, pummeling our enemies in large rocks.

What I didn't see, was as Ceaser was about to fly away, although being thoroughly hurt, Usopp shot the Sea Prism Stone handcuffs with the rest of the debris, perfectly wrapping around Ceaser, as the three enemies fell towards the sea.

Everyone, kids and marines alike celebrated the two pirates for their work. Although, Usopp got a little cocky, and Zoro had to shut him down.

I heard three splashes that assured our victory.

I sighed at the Marines' attempt to separate our groups. They were currently painting a large black line on the large boat dock, which I assume was for materials, before the fight with Aokiji and Akainu. at least they were letting us on the tanker. Chopper wanted to help the injured, Marine or Pirate.

'Does it make them feel better about themselves?'

I winced as the marine painting the line yelled, "Listen up, ya pirate scum! The tanker is your territory and you better stay on it! This line here is the division between good and evil. So don't you even dare think of crossin' over!"

"Where the hell did you get the idea to waste your time like this?" I heard Smoker's grave voice overcome all of the others, "All I told you to do was not fraternize with the Pirates." Smoker pulled the Marines to the side and told them of some info for the Marines and it reminded me.

'Oh, the hearts.'

I pat the left side of my coat, where one heart was, slightly, not enough to hurt them, and kept my gaze on Smoker.

To my surprise, it looked as if a shiver went through his whole body. I almost giggled, until he looked through the crowd, straight at me. He finished talking with the Marines as I walked to the line, the heart still in my jacket.

Once he came to the line, he looked down at me, as I smiled. Not in an evil way, though. I don't want to be enemies with Smoker, as he's one of the few good marines with good morals.

After a moment of silent eye contact, he held his head low, me being able to see a slight hue of pink near his cheeks, "Give me the damn thing already!" he scoffed.

"Okay then, Smoker," I pat the same side of the chest and saw the same reaction as before. He turned to me with a glare, as I chuckled, "Ah, so it's this one!"

Before I pulled it from my coat, he groaned, his arm extended for the heart going slightly limp, "I have to commend you. I didn't even notice when you took the hearts. You're quite impressive." He spoke barely above a whisper with a slight grumble at the end. I'm sure he didn't want the other marines to hear him, so I just smiled.

I held the heart, and before he could take it, an arm went over my right shoulder, as another grabbed the heart over my left shoulder.

I looked to my left to see Law, looking at the heart with a stone face.

Smoker looked up with an angry face, but I think there was a twinge of fear in his eyes. These two don't see eye to eye, after all.

"Smoker, don't you owe us something?" Law asked, a smile creeping its way onto his face, leaning against me, his right arm resting over my shoulders as he stood to my left. I stood completely still as Smoker's hands twitched as if he wanted to end us. I'm just trying not to be involved in whatever would happen next.
