It's been hard, visiting the hospital since she was settled in a room. Max's face is pale, with dry blood under her eyes. There are casts on her neck to her arms. Madison is tapping her leg anxiously while trying to crack a knuckle.

He opened his eyes, and further words died in his throat." "He forgot about the need to sick up that horrible parody of wine."He forgot about his mother, and Uncle Morgan, and his father, and almost everything else." "Speedy was gone." "The graceful arcs of the roller coaster against the sky were gone." "He could feel the hair stirring on the nape of his neck, could feel a goofed-up grin pulling at the corners of his mouth." "Speedy! I'm here, my God!" "I'm here in the territories!"

Her heart broke hearing Lucas reading The Talisman by Stephen King. She was on the verge of leaving the room and breaking down. Nancy, Jonathan, Mike, Will, and Eleven enter the room. Madison focused her gaze on the young girl and got up to embrace her. Lucas put the book down. "Oh my God, we've been calling you like crazy."

"I know. I'm sorry. We've just got in. We came as soon as we heard."

"I'm sorry"

The monitor started to beep.

"Do they know... when she will wake?"

Lucas shook his head at Eleven. "No. They say she might not. Her heart stopped. For over a minute. She died. Clinically, but... then she came back. The doctors don't know how. She died. They say it's a miracle".

Madison eyes widen, she felt her heart sank. She turned around to look at her sister.  How is this possible? She died and then came back to life. However this miracle happened, she's thankful for it . Thankful that she doesn't have to pick out a casket for her. Because the pain would be soo much to bare.

Eleven grabs onto Max's hand

"I'm here Max"

Nancy dropped her off at the school first. She told Lucas that she needed to step out and he understood. All the radio is talking about is the "Hellfire murders". As she walked in Steve is the first person to notice her. The two suddenly lock eyes, he's surprised.  Steve stopped what he was doing." Maddie?"

No response, she just started folding clothes

"What- what are doing here"

Madison stopped what she was doing and turned to him "Just being a voluntary citizen."

"How's Max, by the way," Steve asked.

Madison let out a sigh

"Still the same... I don't know what happened, how this happened. But I'm so thankful that she's alive I'm not attending another funeral."

Steve nodded in agreement . "It's a miracle"

" Yeah, doctors said the same"

It stayed silent for a few seconds. Madison looked over at a limping Dustin, his leg is broken. She felt nothing but sympathy for the poor boy. She didn't know Eddie that well, just that he was a freak and they were neighbors. But the he meant so much to him, Eddie was a like a brother just like how Steve is.

And Madison understands how it's like to lose a brother, the only difference was that Eddie didn't make his life a living hell. She watches how his uncle puts up posters, in hope of finding his nephew, his innocent nephew. He has no idea that his hope is false, Eddie is dead. Dustin approaches him, despite the difficulties of being able to walk. He pulls the necklace he took off his neck in the Upside Down, tears forming in his eyes.

The uncle stared at the necklace and sat down. As he explained what happened, more tears formed in his eyes. Mr Munson started to cry, clinging the necklace next to him, the only thing that reminds him of his nephew. Madison dropped the last shirt and walked up the two, they are both crying. She sits next to Dustin, rubbing his shoulder, reassuringly.

" Hey Mr Munson, I'm Madison, I live next door. I just wanted to say I'm sorry about your nephew. I'm sure he's a great man, that didn't deserve any of this."

She got up, a knot tied in her stomach. The sky began to rumble, Steve seemed to notice this she followed him to the window to take a closer look, clutching on his hand tightly. Robin and Vickie did the same while Dustin stepped outside the gym. The rest of the crowd is confused about why it's snowing in March.

Madison's arm started to tense up at the sight of ash-like particles falling from the sky. But it could only mean one thing: that monster that killed her sister is still out there, slowly recovering from the fire and gunshots. The Upside Down is coming to Hawkins. This is indeed the beginning, the beginning of an end.

But as of now, no new chapters until season 5 comes out.But that doesn't mean I'm not going to edit this fanfic from time to time. But the good news is St5 is starting, so it will probably take a year. Guess I'll see you guys soon.
