The silence is deafening
Piercing my ears as
It feeds my fears
Fuels my nightmares
Crashes through my mind in tedious waves
Never stopping
Burning
Blazing
But then the sound comes
It's unknown
I don't recognize it
It hurts
Make it stop
It's burning my ears and my nose and my mind
Make it stop
It hurts

Bring the silence back
It's better to be trapped in my thoughts
Than to worry over such a sound
Such a small
Meaningless
Insignificant
Undefined sound
