— DALLAS STARED DEEPLY AT ME, WAITING
FOR ME TO MAKE A MOVE

"You gonna place your card?" Dally questioned me, watching me intently. I looked down at my deck curiously before staring back up at the king that were placed by Dally seconds ago. "It ain't hard sweetheart" He laughed, making me smile and shake my head.

"I want to win this okay? let me win" I laughed, placing down a queen on top of his king, hoping that my card set me in a good direction toward winning.

Dally made a humming sound at my decision, looking down at his cards and shuffling through them. "It ain't hard sweetheart" I mocked him, making him lightly tap my arm whilst nodding. He finally placed an ace down, making me throw my hands up in victory. I placed down my last card and yelped. "Let's go! I won bitches!" I squealed, making Dally groan with a smile.

As I continued to taunt him and rejoice, Dally wrapped his arms around my torso and pulled me into him, making us both fall back onto his bed. I giggled as he started kissing my neck, a glowing grin on both of our faces.

"You're so cute.." I whispered in his ear, making him look at me. He pulled me closer into his body, allowing me to rest my head onto his chest.

Dally lifted my chin with his finger, making me face him. I stroked my hand over his jawline, staring into his eyes. We were only a few days into our relationship as he was so much more different than I thought he'd be. With the way others described his previous relationships, it was nothing that aligned with the way he treated me. He was soft and sweet, not rough and tough like he appeared to be. It was surprising, but something that I found peace in.
