One night, I climbed up onto the roof of my house in Alexandria. I sat there looking at the stars and just thinking.
"What the hell are you doin?" I heard a familiar voice.
I looked down at the ground to see Daryl.
"Chilling," I answered with a smile.
"I was going to say I will come up but I don't even know how you got up," Daryl examined the house.
"My bedroom. Climb out the window and then up the drain pipe," I told him.
"Okay," He nodded and then ran into the house.
About a minute later he was on the roof next to me.
"A roof is a random place to chill," Daryl wrapped his arms round me.
"Well. Its nice to look at the stars," I rested my head on his shoulder, "While you were gone, I sat up here every night when you were gone. I just hopped I would see you walk through them gates. But then when I saw you at hilltop I was so happy and it felt like my heart was fixed."
"Come here," Daryl got me to lie down with him and I cuddled into his chest, "I thought of you every night. I knew you would be sad but I always hoped Rick would do something to cheer you up and make you happy."
"He tried," I nodded.
