"Can you call them?" Francisco asks and I nod.
Just then Liam walks in through the hospital doors with men right behind him.
"They got away. We lost them!"
The Pavarotti men sigh and I take out my phone dialing Kassandra. My grandpa had a few men in the city of New York. Some were detectives, other officers and about three FBI agents. One of these FBI agents being Kassandra. The phone rings for a couple of seconds until she answers.
"Speaker." Ricardo mouths to me and I put her on speaker but lower the volume a bit.
"Alessia, you better have a damn good reason for calling me. I just had to get out of an important meeting with my boss and coworkers."
"Yeah, yeah. I need you to pull up a city camera for me. Can you?"
"City camera?" She asks.
"A footage of a certain place at a certain time."
"Where would this certain place be at? Mhm."
"Central City Park."
I could hear silence on the other line for a couple of seconds until she sighed. Francisco rolled his eyes as Ricardo stared at me impatient.
"Alessia, I work for your grandfather. It's not the best thing in my life but I'm loyal to him, and I work for him with honor. But I can't give you access to those cameras. Not because I don't want to but because I myself don't have access to footage like that!"
"What do you mean? You're fbi, for fucks sake."
"Ace, calm down." I rolled my eyes at the mention of my middle name. I didn't know why everyone in the Mafia had a desire to call me Ace.
"I would do anything for your family, law related. But only a park officer or an officer at a nearby precinct will have footage of Central Park."
"Is there anyone you know who could give me that footage?"
"Why are you hell bent on this? Please don't tell me you had something to do with the shooting. It's all over news right now."
"I was somewhat involved. Look my friend, the one's whose blood is on the concrete while every fucking news reporter records, just got shot. She may or may not make it. This footage matters everything to me, so please tell me of someone who can help before I go and break the law."
"Fuck. Okay Detective Castillo. He works in the precinct near central park. He doesn't work for your grandfather, he works for your uncle. He's your best chance at getting that video!"
"Thank you Kassandra."
"Be careful. If you get hurt, your family won't react calmly."
I don't answer and hang up. Detective Castillo... i had no idea that my uncle had detectives on his payroll.
"I'll be back. Update me if anything changes." I tell the group.
Luca grabs my wrist. "You're not going alone!" He says softly.
"Yes I am. I don't know this detective yet, and it's most likely that he won't want to talk to me if you're there! I'll be fine either way!" I say taking out Ricardo's gun and waving it in their faces.
"That's my gun!" Ricardo says
"Mine now. Anyways see you soon!"
Luca lets go of my wrist and kisses me. Everyone else starts looking around the room, most likely uncomfortable. I pull away and laugh softly. I walk towards the elevator pressing the down button. Once the elevators door open, I get in and press the lobby button to take me down.
