He brings my hand up and places a soft kiss on it. We walked inside a coffee shop. It was cute, charming and cozy. We get greated by the workers behind the cashier's. I wanted this date to be peaceful but my mind was still circling around unknown and who the person might be.

"Are you alright?" Luca asks me worrisome.

"Yes. Just thinking!"

"Try not to. I know it's killing you not knowing who it is but we'll find out, we will figure it out. Together. You're not alone!"

"Thank you. But it's not something you should worry about. I'll figure it out! So a coffee shop? I didn't think that was your vibe!"

"It's not!" He clarifies. "It's more your scene!"

I'm about to open my mouth to ask how he knows but he beats me to it.

"I've noticed you. Reading books, being all nerdy. It's cute!" He says and I feel myself blushing.

"You always carry a different book with you. I've noticed the titles and have researched some of them. So hear me out, you're in search for this oh-how-sweet romantic relationship, but something pulls you back. You could have been with any guy you want but like I said, you hold back. Maybe because of your family name, or your father who knows. So you torture yourself and any chance at a relationship you completely abolish it. You're so fucking obsessed with Taylor Swift because somehow you relate to every one of her goddamn break up or love songs. You fall into some unusual habits. some days you can be sad, others mad and you enjoy drowning yourself in your loneliness. In the end you're a hopeless romantic who is in wait of her prince charming, hoping he'll save you and sweep you off your feet!"

Was he wrong? Hell no. Did that hurt? Yeah, maybe just a little bit. Am I really waiting for my prince charming? Not at all. I'm hoping more for a villain. Someone who doesn't do everything by the book.

"You're right, about most of it. Except I don't want a prince charming to sweep me off my feet!"

"No? Then tell me what do you want?"

"I'm hoping for the misinterpreted villain. Someone who doesn't do everything by the book. Someone who often breaks the rules."

A smirk appears on his lips. "Is that so?"

I nod. "The whole prince charming in a castle is all bullshit. Love isn't a fairy tale, it's not all rainbows and sunshines. Love is complicated, it's something you have to work for, something you have to reach for. It's not always gonna be pretty and that's understandable considering we're not perfect."

"I agree. A relationship is more complex. Unlike what they show in movies or books!"

"Is that why you've never dated anyone?"

"No, that's not why. I never dated before because I find it overwhelming. I see how much my Father worries over my mom and sister. I do too, but if I date, if I love-" he says the word love as if he had never said it before! "I would have to worry about more than my family. Then I'd worry about some girl who I fell for. It's a risk, a liability. This world takes everything from you. We were born in hands of blood. In this world, you can't have a single weakness. The Mafia will rip you apart, in every way possible. Take away any humanity in you, take away hesitation from your eyes, take away fear and replace it with darkness. There will never be any sort of light in our lifes. Because once you find something you hold close, something you love, they'll see it as a weakness and will take it out by all means."
