"I have to go. Cheer loud for us! And pray that we win because fuck, Jackson Knights are a good school team to go against."
"We'll win, especially since you're playing. Win. Win for Julie." I mention Aria's middle name to him.
He nods and runs off. I walk back up to the bleachers, to find Kate with a huge soda cup and cotton candy. She also had a foam finger.
"When did you get all this?" I ask
"My stomach was grumbling so I went through your bag and found a twenty so I bought a soda for me, cotton candy, a foam finger and I got you those!" She says pointing to some nachos beside her.
"How sweet." I mutter.
I pick up the nachos and sit down on my spot. The game starts as soon as they blow a whistle. And when I tell you that I don't know much about football, I'm meaning I don't know what they call the throws or moves or much. The ball was thrown from one of ours to another but he didn't catch it and now a Jackson Knight had it. They ran fast, I'd give them that. Luckily number fifteen tackled him to the ground.
"Eww!" Kate exclaims. "Number fifteen is Sebastian!"
I scrunch up my nose and open my nachos eating one. The guys gets up and line up again. What I found weird was when they put the bal under in-between the legs. Just imagine, how the poor ball might smell after the game.
"Stop. Imagine he farts. The poor ball under him is going to have to deal with that smell!" Kate points out
I laugh lightly. The whistle is blow again and they start playing. I wasn't a huge fan of football. I liked watching it but not playing it. What I did like was soccer and badminton. Although our school soccer team was shit.
I was lost in my thoughts that when my sister shook me and everyone else cheered it made me jump slightly. I look at the board she see the score. We hit a touchdown.
I look to the field to see the guys cheering on Sebastian. I look to see Jordan standing there looking mad. He turns to the bleachers and his eyes find mine. 'it's okay. You'll score next!' I mouth to him and he nods. They start playing and once the first quarter is down we only have Sebastian's touchdown meanwhile Jackson has gotten three touchdowns so they have eighteen points while we have six. I see Jordan drinking water on the bench and walk down towards him.
"You okay?" I ask
He looks up at me and nods.
"I can't fucking believe that out of all of us, Sebastian is the one to score."
"It's okay. This is only the first quarter of the game. You have three more quarters to score."
"Thank you."
"If it's any consolation, Kate is as mad as you are about the touchdown Sebastian scored. She even thought about cheering for Jackson."
Sebastian chuckles and I start walking back up the bleachers. I sit next to Kate and she taps my shoulder.
"Your boyfriend is here!" She says tilting her head behind me.
I see Luca, walking over to the field. He came through the back meaning he jumped the school's gate. I get up and start walking towards him, the whistle blows but I didn't care about the game. Luca looked disappointed, maybe even sad.
When I walk up to him, he grabs my waist and pulls me in for a hug. I hug him back. He pulls away and pulls me away from the crowd.
"Are you alright?"
"I need to tell you something, and I'd rather you hear it from me, than from your father or the news. I went to your-"
He stops and I stare at him.
