Wild Awake

"His family was murdered by rouges." A gasp break through my mouth after hearing that. I didn't know that. We live together for six years and I didn't know that.

"Six years ago, Xavier's family was attacked by a rouge, a werewolf. When I found Xavier, there was a large gash on his leg that had been caused by a pair of fangs. He was the only one who survived at the attack among his family. Xavier's parents has the reputation of being one of the best hunters, Diana, so I kept him without the council knowing he was bitten by a werewolf. You know Xavier, Diana, his loyalty lies on us even he was one of them."

"He was a human before. The thought of Xavier being a werewolf never crossed my mind, dad."

"Yes. I'm sorry, sweetie. After all this time, I couldn't bring myself to tell you about him. You must be shocked, for things turned out to be like this."

"I-i will just take a run." I didn't wait for my father's reply and quickly dashed out of the room, towards the forest. My brain were having problem on understanding things right now. I was too overwhelmed.

Low branches scraped at my arms, I ignored it as I pushed through the trees. Jumping over a fallen log, a small clearing came into sight.

Xavier's family was murdered. He was the only one who survived, he was known as the Miracle Boy' because of that. He was bitten by a werewolf and turned into one.

A headache starts to pound on my head as I tried to process everything. I don't know anything. He was suffering for almost six years and I didn't even know a single thing about it. Ever since the first time I known him, he hated those beast disguised as a human, werewolves.

Has he hated himself all this time for turning into a the beast who killed his family? What is he doing right now? Was he okay?

I froze in my spot when I heard a twig was snapped behind me and another one. Reaching for my back, I get a hold of thr gun in my holster and when an another twig snapped behind me, I quickly spun around and point the gun on the source of the sound.

A large wolf were currently standing there. Its big brown eyes zereod in on me. I watched as it suddenly stopped halfway before the wolf growled and then tge sound of bones breaking and snapping filled the air. My eyes widen as the wolf began to shake and slowly change until a human was crouching down on its place. Xavier's very naked man were in front of me.

"Xavier," I look at him wide eyed and put my gun down, keeping ny eyes at his face. "W-what are you doing here?"

Silence answered. I took a step back when he started to advance towards me and I willed all my focus on his face or chest and not on his very naked lower part of his body.

"Xavier?" He doesn't said a word.

"Kill me, Dee. I want you to kill me." I was suprised when he pull the gun towards his head. He said in a calm voice.

"What are you doing, Xavier?!" I tried to pull away the gun on his grasp but he was way too strong than me.

"Shoot me, Dee! I want you to kill me with your own hands!" He shouted.

"No. Xavier, no! I-i can't do it. You know I can't and I won -" I was cut off by my scream when a sharp pain slicing down my back. I screamed again when another wave of pain ran down my body. My gums hurt, my nails ached and my bones felt they were breaking.

My skin felt like it was stretching. changing and turning. I cried out as my bones snapped and changed places. I felt myself slipping away from consciousness when the burning and excruciating pain spread throughout my body. The last thing that I saw was Xavier's concerned, worried and shocked face.

I opened my eyes to find myself lying on my bed. Groaning, I pushed myself up to sitting position, grimacing at every dull and ache that protested sorely in my body.

"Diana?" A voice asked beside me. I turn around in my bed to find dad's concerned gaze on me.

"Hi dad, what are you doing here?" I asked watching his eyes widened a little.

"You don't remember?" He questioned, frowning.

"What are you -" I started but stopped when memories by memories came back.

Xavier turning into a wolf. Dad saying the truth about Xavier. Xavier wanted me to kill him and me, turning into a wolf.

"D-dad, what's happening? W-why did I t-turn into a w-werewolf?" But I was answered by a deafening silence. "Dad?"

Dad take a hold of my hand and kissed it. "Diana, sweetie, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry for keeping the truth to you."

"What are you talking about, dad? This isn't funny." I look at him frowning as fear started to rise up.

"I am not your father, Diana." He whispered, awakening the fear inside me. "It was a rainy day when I found you on the woods all alone, Diana. I have no clue of who you are or neither what you are. Diane and I, cannot have our own child. We tried for years but nothing came. We were lucky enough to find you, you're our little angel. We adopted you even we don't know who you really are. "

"No, It couldn't be true. I can't be one of them, dad. I can't!" I shouted at my father. "You're lying right, dad? Is it April's fools day?"

"I wish it could go differently, sweetie." He said softly before planting a kiss on my forehead and leaving my room. Leaving me flabbergasted and in pain.

"I couldn't believe it. I couldn't. I was a human. A hunter." Strong, muscled arms swept me easily off my feet and pressed me against a steady body.

"Shhh..." Xavier hushed against my head as he keep rubbing my back, trying to comfort me. I didn't know that he was also here in my room.

"My whole life has been a lie and I did not see any of the signs." My voice cracks. I sob. The tears keep coming one after another and I hate it. I hate crying but I can't do nothing about it.

"Who I am, Xavier? Who is he? My real father? My real mother? Why did they abandoned? Does I have a real name?"

"Hush, Dee. Sleep for tonight, we'll talk about it tomorrow." As soon as he says that and my head made a contact, I feel my eyes getting droopy and slip into sleep with the last thoughts running over my head.

Who really I am?
