My love story : Abhishek Malhotra

Prying friends

Shriya saw the expressions of her friends. She hung up the phone immediately in fright.

She took a long breath and looked around. Everyone is busy eating as if nothing happened. Abhi focused his entire concentration on peeling the  fish skin on Shriya's plate.

She didnot know what to say to her friends. She is positive that they saw him and will ask so many questions and tries to pry her to get answers from her.

Shri was about to get up from her seat to  go somewhere else to talk to her friends, when they called again, but Abhi caught her hand and said "first eat then go and talk to them."

She nodded her head and sat down. Abhi kept her phone on silent mode so that she could enjoy her lunch peacefully. 

She sent a text message to Sony.
'I am having my lunch right now, talk to u later, bye'.
Sony : 'Okay fine, but u have 2 explain what I just saw. Enjoy your holiday😚😚😎😎.'

Shriya saw the message and was about to reply, when Abhi took her phone and put in his pocket and continued eating, all the while concentrating on his food.

She saw the pieces Abhi has put in her plate and she started eating silently. After a delicious lunch of local recepies of sea foods,  they all went to rest under a tree near the lake.

Abhi sat under the neem tree reading a book, while Manvi and Uday were sitting on the sand and playing with water,  splashing water at each other adn enjoying themslves.

Preeti started munching on the snacks and Rahul is busy taking the pictures of the location and showing off his photography skills to others.

Shriya sat next to Abhi and was watching everyone with Smile. She peeled an orange and handed a piece to Abhi, to which he opened his mouth.

Shriya was taken aback by his gesture but put the piece in his mouth. Rahul clicked the camera and captured the beautiful moment of the couple.

Evening they all reached the hotel exhausted. They all sat in the Rahul's room, had coffee and snacks. Later they returned to their respective rooms to sleep.

Shriya called Sony and the latter  answered the call on the first ring and she sounded very excited and spoke even before Shriya could say hello.

Sony : "Hey! what took you so long to call me? We were waiting like crazy here. Tell me what I saw  this afternoon? Where were you and why did I see Ahishek Malhotra beside you?"

Sony asked so many questions,  not letting Shriya to say even a single word and everything in one breathe.

Shri took a long breath and she decided to say the truth but not the entire truth. She likes Sony and believes the latter,  but she cannot take risk, afterall women are know for gossiping and they cannot keep secrets and she can't afford that now.

Shriya said with hesitation. "Hey hi Sony, let me speak, how can I answer all those questions at once. One at a time ok." She tried to be as casual as possible.

Sony : "okay fine, tell me. I will listen to you." And one Shriya could her eagerness in her tone.

Shriya : "Okay first promise me that you will not tell anyone about this. This matter should be between the three of us."
Sony was so anxious, she said "Okay fine. now tell me".

Shriya : "Okay Yes I am ..."

Before Shriya could said anything Sony again intruppted "Wait let me call Brahmini, I will put her on conference call, hold on for a second."

Shriya kept silent for a minute then she heard Sony saying "Okay I told her everything and she promised me she will keep it a secret" and Shriya heard Brahmini saying "I promise, now tell us".

Shriya : "Yes I am on a vacation with Abhi."

Sony : " How did you know him?"
Brahmini : "Are you close with him? You even went to a vacation with him. Wow that's so cool". They are both excited.

Shriya said in her usual calm tone "Abhi's best friend and manager Uday. Uday's wife Manvi is my friend. That is how I met him in a party and Abhi treats her like a sister, so I know him pretty good .. ....but I am not close with him. I often meet him at Uday's place."

Brahmini : " So how is he in real, handsome? Is he a friendly person?"

Shriya : "yes he is handsome and caring, and he is friendly towards me but I don't know about others".

Sony : "I know he is caring, I saw him giving his food to the girl next to you.Who is she?"

Shriya : "She is my sister Preeti, I told you guys about her.

Sony : "You sat next to him and he leaned in, so how did you feel when you were so close to him?" she started being naughty.

Shriya : "Uhmmm.... I dont know how I felt." she felt awkward and guilty that she is lying to her friends. They are feeling all anxious and exaggerated to know that her friend sat next to Abhi. If they knew that their friend is staying in Abhi's house and he is her guardian and the only man she can depend upon and stuff, they might go even crazy.

What if they see Abhi kissing on her forehead and taking care of her every need, ohh no their expressions, that thought made Shriya smile to herself.

Then she heard Sony's impatient voice through the phone "why aren't you saying anything ? ."

Hearing these words Shriya came back to senses "Okay enough of this talk. I am going to hang up.  bye guyz. Good night". 

Brahmini : "No I have so many questions".

Sony : "Okay fine. But share some of your photos with Abhi to us. We promise we will keep it a secret. I will create a group in wats up with three of us. Share it in that. Gud n8 bye."
tehy didn't pester her much and she is thankful for that.

Shriya : "I will ask him and will give you some pictures".
Sony : "Thanks Gud n8"
Brahmini : " See you on Monday morning guys".

Shriya hung up on them and was dumbfounded to see Abhi staring at her. He sat on the sofa with a glass of milk on the tea table.

He stared at her gently and said "You didn't have dinner, so have some milk. I already gave milk to Preeti and she is already sound asleep."

Shriya wondered when and how did he come in and exactly how much did he hear about their conversation. She examined his face but couldnot find any traces of anger.

It seems like he is thinking about something. She came to sit on sofa and started drinking milk looking at him.

He stood up and went to the door.He turned around to see Shriya and said "What do mean 'I dont know how I felt?' tell me tomorrow what it mean", he signalled her with his hand to come to him.

She went and stood next to him. He kissed her on her forehead and said "good n8". He left the room and Shriya stood there thinking what was she supposed to say to him the next day.
