Zee's POV

"Zee." Called Father making me stop my track.

"If you walked out that door with him , you are no longer my son." He continued making me clutch my fist. I run my fingers through my hair in frustration before sighing. I then look at Nunew who shook his head with tears rolling down his cheek. A tear escaped from my eyes as I sigh before wiping my tears away , walking towards Nunew. I grabbed his wrist , dragging him out of the place.

"Zee !" Shouted Father but I ignored his calls , walking out of the house. I dragged Nunew all the way to the car , opening the car door as he got in. I close the door , walking to the other side. I got in , starting the car as I then drove out of the house as fast as possible. I clutch the stirring wheel tightly , clenching my jaw as I fought back my tears.

Nunew's POV.

I look over to Zee who hasn't said anything ever since we left. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I look out the window. Soon we reached our house. Zee stopped the car as we both got out. We slowly walked in the house as I look at Zee. He sigh , stopping his track making me stop mine.

"Are you hungry ? I can make you something if you are." He said with his back still facing me. I clutch my fist before walking towards him. I grabbed his shoulder making him turn and I swiftly pulled me to my embrace.

"You can cry na ... it's okay .. to be weak .." I said softly , caressing the back of his head gently. I then felt his arm wrap around my waist tightly. Soon I hear soft sobs and felt my shirt getting wet on my shoulder. Zee's shoulder shake as he sob on my shoulder. I tightened my grip around him , closing my eyes as I let my tears go.

I look down to Zee who fast asleep on my chest. I caress his head gently , sighing. It was my first time seeing Zee cry. All this time , Zee has never showed this side to anyone. I could see the pain in his eyes when he stood up to his father after years of keeping quiet. Zee knew his decision when he walked out that door but warms me is that he decided to go with me ..... even though he knew the pain he has to endure , he still chose me. I sigh , tightening my grip around him as he did the same.

- next morning -

Zee's POV

I looked out the window , sighing as I watch the rain.

"Zee .." I turned seeing Max. I smile weakly as he did the same.

"Are you okay ?" He asked.

"I guess .. I am okay .." I answered.

"All this time I'd never thought I'd be able to stand up for myself .. I was too scared for some reason ..." I said.

"But I didn't realize how much pain I had to face ..." I said.

"His words still stuck to me .." I said as Max nod.

"How could he do this to me .. I am his son , Max .. but all this time he treats me like I am a robot who can be the next him .." I voiced out.

"He said if I walked out of the house with Nhu .. I won't call me his son anymore .." I said , clutching my fist.

"And you chose .."

"I chose Nunew." I said.

"I chose Nunew because Nunew gives me happiness .. love .. better than he could give ..." I said.

"I'd rather lose someone who doesn't love appreciate me rather than I lose Nhu .." I said softly as Max sigh , coming closer to me. He pat my back , nodding.

Nunew's POV

I fiddled with my ring , zoning out as I sigh.

"Nhu .. Nhu!" I shook my head , snapping out of my thoughts to see Nat in front of me with a worry expression.

"You okay ?" He asked.

"Uh yeah , sorry I was deep in my thoughts .." I said , wearing my ring.

"Did something happen between you and Zee ?" He asked and I sigh , shaking my head.

"Then what's wrong ?" He asked.

"Well .. last night ... Zee stood up to his father .." I said making Nat's eyes widened.

"I was there when everything happen .. I saw the pain in Zee's eyes when he let go of everything he had inside in front of his father .." I said.

"His father told him to choose between him .. or me ..." I said as Nat nod.

"He chose .."

"He chose me .." I said.

"Last night .. I got to see the other side of Zee that I thought I would never see .." I said looking at Nat.

"It was my first time seeing him cry ... all the pain built up in him was already so bad that he couldn't handle it anymore ..." I said as I sigh.

"I know he's still hurting .. but I don't know how I can help him .." I said as Nat sigh , holding my hand.

"This just shows that someone who is as cold as Zee , someone who rarely cries , also have feelings ..." he said.

"And I know .. you know the right thing to do Nhu .. you have to trust your instincts .. and do the right thing .. help Zee .." he said and I sigh.

"I know you can do it .. you are my jelly .. remember ?" He said trying to lift up the mood. I smile nodding as he then hugged me tightly.

After work , I got home with the help from Poppy. I thank him before walking in the house.

I placed my bag on the table , looking around for Zee.

"Zee ! I am home !" I shouted still looking around. I frown , walking into the living.

"Zee ?" I called and soon frown seeing a familiar body on the ground. I walked closer and soon my eyes widened seeing Zee passed out of the floor.

"Zee !!" I shouted , running towards him. I held him by the shoulder , holding his cheek realizing he was burning up.

"Zee ?!" I said trying to wake him up. I laid his head on my lap , trying to wake him up.

"Nunew ?!" I turned seeing Max.

"Max ! Zee !" I said as his eyes widened seeing Zee on my lap.

I placed the wet towel on his forehead , tucking him in the sheets as I then sigh. I look at his pale face , holding his hand.

"He will be fine .. he just have a high fever .." said Max and I nod , looking at Zee.

"I'll get going then .." said Max before leaving the room. I look at Zee before getting up , walking out of the room.

"Max ! Wait !" I called out making him turn , walking down the stairs.

"Can we talk ?" I asked and he then nod.
