Nunew's POV.

I woke up not seeing Zee again. For the past few days , Zee has been avoiding me. He would leave early in the morning and come back late at night. When mom finally went back to her house , Zee wasn't there to send her off. I moved back to my own room , feeling nothing but a empty space in me. I look at the date today and sigh.

"We are almost reaching the halfway point of our 1 month contract .." I thought. I soon heard the door closing.

"Nhu ! I am here !" I hear Nat.

"In here !" I said as I soon heard footsteps coming from outside. Soon the door open revealing Nat.

"Hey .. I got your 'SOS' text .." he said as I look at him , smiling weakly.

"Is everything okay ?" He asked , sitting next to me as he held my hand.

"Nat .." I said making him hum.

"I think I messed up .." I said softly making him frown.

"Messed up ?" He asked and I nodded as I then teared up.

"Nhu .." he said as he then pulled me to his embrace. I sobbed on his shoulder as he held me tightly. I sniffled , clearing my throat as tears rolled down my lips.

"I think .. I-I like Zee .." I muffled on his shoulder as I then cried. Nat rubbed my back , calming me down. After a while , I pulled away as I wiped my tears away using my sleeves.

"You like Zee .." he said making me nod.

"But I messed up ... I said things that hurt him .. and I don't know what to do .." I said as he caress my head.

"Sometimes .. talking can help .. you and Zee just need to talk .. if you don't talk .. things won't change you know .." he said and I sigh. Soon my phone started ringing making me frown , looking down to my phone to see a call from the hospital.

"Hello ?" I answered.

"Hello , is this Mr Chawarin ?"

"Yes , what's wrong ?" I asked as Nat frown.

"Your aunt , she's in a critical condition right now." My eyes widened as my heart froze.

Zee's POV

"You have been here from 8am Zee .. don't you rest ?" Asked Max.

"Did you and Nunew fight or something ?" He asked making me look up from the documents.

"It's non of your business .." I said. He sigh , sitting across me.

"You know Zee , you are not that hard to read. I know when something is wrong .." he said.

"You have been coming to the office early in the morning and going back late at night .. you gotta remember that you have a fiancé at home." He said.

"Fake fiancé." I said coldly.

"There you go .. I knew it this have to do something with Nunew." He said making me sigh.

"Look I don't know why I am like this okay. I just .. am confused with myself .." I said.

"Confused with what you feel towards Nunew ?" He asked making me look at him.

"Let me ask you this Zee , do you care about Nunew?" He asked and I sigh.

"More than anything." I answered.

"Then .. since you do .. do you .. like him ? .." he asked.

"I am not talking about liking him as a friend or whatever .. what I am talking about is .. are you in love with Nunew ?" He asked making me look at him.

"I ... I don't know." I answered and he then sigh. Soon the door opened revealing one of my worker.

"Khun Zee , the board leaders are ready for you .." she said as I nod.

"Let's just go .." I said as I got up with Max , following me from behind. The both of us walked towards the meeting room without saying anything to each other.

"Khun Zee !!" I frown , stopping my tracks as I turn around to see Poppy running towards me. He stopped , catching his breath.

"Poppy , what's wrong ?" I asked confused.

"Nunew ..." he said making me frown.

"Nunew's aunt .. she's in a critical condition at the hospital !" He exclaimed making my eyes widened.

"Khun Nhu .. is on his way there !" He continued.

"Poppy. Take me to the hospital now." I ordered as he nod. I was about to walk away when Max grab my arm.

"I am coming with you." He said and I nod.

"Khun Zee , the meeting !" Said my worker.

"Attend the meeting for me. I need to get my fiancé." I said as me and Max hurried out of the office.

Nunew's POV.

I ran towards P'Sun's room and soon saw the doctor and few of the nurse , pushing P'Sun's bed out of the room.

"P'Sun !" I shouted as I ran towards them.

"She needs immediate operation .. it seems like her tumor is spreading drastically .." informed the nurse as they push her towards the operation room. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I held onto P'Sun's hand , running beside them.

"Everything will be okay P'Sun .." I said and soob we reached the operating room.

"Sir , you have to stay back." Said the nurse as she stopped me from entering the operating room. They all pushed P'Sun in as I breathed hard. The door closed as I was left standing there , all alone.

"Nhu !" I turned seeing Nat. He ran towards me , holding my arms as he looked at me worriedly. Tears stream down my face uncontrollably and soon Nat pulled me to his embrace. I broke down to in his arms and soon my legs went weak making me fall onto the ground with Nat holding me.

"Everything will be okay na .. she will be okay .." soothe Nat as he rubbed my back. I sobbed hard till my shoulder shake uncontrollably. Nat sigh , holding me tightly as he rubbed my back , whispering soothing words to calm me down. Nat then pulled away as I breathed hard.

"Nat .. where's Zee ? I need him .." I sobbed as Nat nod , caressing my cheek. I cried hard as Nat pulled me back to his embrace.

"You gotta stay strong na .. Zee is coming soon .." he whispered as I cried.

- 2 hours later -

Nat held my hand as we wait outside the operating room. Soon the door opened revealing the doctor. I quickly got up as he walked towards me.

"How is my aunt ?" I asked worriedly. He sigh , smiling softly.

"Don't worry , we were able to get the tumor removed before it could harm her even more ... thanks to the treatment , we were able to remove it smoothly .." he said making me sigh in relief.

"We put her to sleep but so far , everything is way better than before .." he said and I smile with tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Thank you , doctor .." I said as Nat squeezed my arm.

I walked into the room where P'Sun is , seeing her head wrapped up in a bandage. I sat down beside her on the chair , holding her hand gently. I gave her cold knuckles a kiss as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"You are going to be fine now .." I whispered as I then close my eyes , sobbing quietly.
