Wendell and I are in Cams workspace as she and I talk to Temp who is Roswell, New Mexico being called in with Booth for a body being found. I wish I could've gone with her, but I had to do work here at the lab. Temp tells us examining the remains, "The remains are encased in adipocere." Cam then says, "If it's okay with Sheriff Lobo, maybe you could send me some." "It appears to be petrified. A coat alone doesn't account for that." "Well, I'll send the coat to Hodgins, see what he can discern from it. Her skeletal robusticity and large areas of muscle attachment... suggest extremely good health." I then ask, "A couple of weeks in the desert, and no critters got at these remains?" Wendell turns to us and says, "Perhaps the result of green radiation from alien hyperdrive systems." Temp and Cam looked at him not sure what he's talking about as I just looked at him amused as he then says, "Or something not crazy." I try not to laugh as Temp then says, "The man who found them remarked that he saw several sets of orange eyes... staring at him from the darkness." Wendell then says, "Orange-eyeballed aliens." I chuckle a little as I then say, "Tapetum lucidum of the American coyote glows orange when light strikes the retina. What he saw were likely coyotes, not orange-eyeballed aliens..." He looks at me amused as I finally understand he was joking as I blush and Temp says also understanding, "Oh, you were being facetious. That's funny."
We are at our lunch as Wendell and I are in a hotel bedroom interwind with one another. We smile at each other as he says, "I really couldn't have waited for tonight." I giggle a bit, "Me either." We give each other a kiss as I then lay on his arm. I then notice him thinking about something as I prop myself up as he looks at me, "What's in your mind Bub?" He nods, "I was thinking about what you said earlier in the file room." I nod, "About Angie and the guy she's seeing?" He shakes his head, "No, about Hodgins not knowing about the incident." I nod, "You're worried about Hodgins?" He nods, "I know what happened is in the past and doesn't really matter anymore but...." "You feel bad for not telling him when he had a serious relationship with Angie." He nods, "Yeah." I nod, "What would you like to do Wendell?" "I would like to tell Hodgins and get rid of the guilt I am feeling, like Angela did. He's my friend and he has the right to know." I smile nodding, "Alright, let's do it your way." We kiss each other again as he then says mischievously, "You mean talk to Hodgins or-" We laugh as I say, "You're really something else Bub. Both." He flips us over being on top as we begin to kiss.
I am back at the lab in the bone examination room talking with Temp as she was going to put the body to get an MRI done. She has finished setting up as we see Booth walk inside as Temp says, "Oh, good. You got here for the good stuff." "What good stuff?" I answer, "M.R.I. It's an older model but entirely serviceable." He looks at me, "Hey there Blueberry. You should come over down with us. Not the same without you." He then looks at Temp, "Okay, for future reference, that's not the good stuff." "Well, sure it is." I chuckle, "I will after I am done here. But don't sulk too much or solve it without me." "You know it." Temp then starts pointing at the screen to Booth as I couldn't see, just the body being scanned. Temp begins to explain, "Look at all those remodeled lateral malleolus fractures." As she explains I notice the body starting to shake and slowly begins to rise as I look at it in disbelief as I say, "Temp... Booth... Temp!" They don't seem to hear me as Temp continues to explain, "Also, signs of inflammation to the tannin fibers here and damage-" But I cut her off, "Temp! The body!" She stops looking up seeing the body rise as well as she screams in fright." Booth quickly turns around seeing it as well taking out his gun only to be flowed away sticking to the MRI. I then say, "Turn it off!" Temp does so as we watch the body fall back down onto the table as Booth's gun falls onto the ground. We all just stare at it as Booth says, "I won't say anything about the scream... if you don't say anything about the gun." Temp nods, "Those terms are satisfactory." "Right." I then say, "That was an experience I must say, really frightened me as well."
They both turned to me as I look at them both, "What?" Next thing I know they bribed me into not telling anyone about the incident as I am on the platform watching as Temp takes out some metal balls out of the victims face as she tells us, "That's five." I then say, "It's too big to be a buckshot." Hodgins then says, "Photos you sent of the first one... show it to be a ball bearing approximately 17.5 millimeters." We watch her take out another, "This makes number six." Cam then says, "Certainly enough metal to generate the magnetism... to raise the remains when exposed to the M.R.I." I then say, "Well, when Hodgins and I receive them, I might be able to I.D. the manufacturer and intended use." Hodgins nods adding, "Which I imagine was not murder." Angie then comes up the platform, "Hey. Uh, I finished the facial reconstruction off the M.R.I. I'm e-mailing it now." She pops up the image on the screen revealing a woman as she adds, "Sorry. It is not an alien." Wendell then says, "I noticed on the M.R.I. that the victim's patella's were fractured." Temp nods, "Well, I'll swab the area... and send the samples with the ball bearings.
