Chasing The Bad Girl

The whole venue is perfect. Every chandeliers, tables, flower arrangements, the orchestra. All are set in accordance to what I expected it would be. Of course! This is no other than my bestfriend's masterpiece. This is Precy's idea. Magaling nga siyang event organizer and I feel proud of her.

I headed first in the event which will start at exactly 7pm. I wanted to see all the guests. Actually, I invited all tycoons and world's known business people. This event is to introduce Lucas Vergel Seagull as the new president of The Empire. Mahabang kwento ang mayroon ang kompanyang ito. All I can say is that, it is one of the World's successful company.

Lucas will be here late. Dinalaw nito ang mga yumao ng magulang. And I think he has gone somewhere else as well. Sana lang pagbalik niya dito ay hindi mukhang naluging intsik ang mukha niya .

He has this habbit of being snob since he came back from the jungle or island whatever he calls it. Masyadong nagsusungit. Dinaig pa ang babaeng may dalaw. He's been cold to many except me and my family.

Isa-isa nang nagsisidatingan ang mga bisita. Since I am not an approachable person as well, hindi na ako nag-abalang lapitan sila at kamustahin. Gaya nga ng sabi ko before, these people are hunting for their preys. I am not one of those. Hangga't maari hindi ako nakikipagplastikan sa mga gaya nila.

Bunches of liars and user people. Kakaibiganin ka kung may kailangan. Ibabasura ka kung wala. I've had a lot of experiences with them, and I'm telling you, it's really hard to find true friends who may have understanding and heart together.

I am just sitting on the other side of the event hall. This is separated by a transparent glass door where I get to see people inside the event room but they couldn't see me watching.

I am making myself busy by checking my children in my phone through famcam. Kasama ng mga ito ang nanny nila na binabasahan nila ng story book.

I can't help but smile. Nasa gitna nila ang nanny, at parehong may hawak na magkaibang story book si Vaughny at Chloe. Kinukulit nila ito makinig pero mukhang nalilito na ang nanny kung kanino siya lilingon.

Minsan iniisip ko yung mga pinagdaanan ko sa nakaraan. Kung gaano kasakit at kahirap ang mga iyon pero sa tuwing iisipin ko ang mga anak ko, I ended up saying, I had no regrets. Kung mauulit man ang masasakit na alaalang iyon, kung kapalit naman ay dalawang anghel, then I have no reason to regret it. Paulit-ulit kong tatanawin na biyaya ang mga anghel ko.

"Ma'am, start na po-po ang event." My secretary said. I put my phone on my pouch.

I walked with grace in the middle of the crowd. I don't need any special notice for me. This is Lucas's night not mine. Kaya sinabihan ko silang wala ng ibang irerecognize na iba on stage unless it's Lucas.

Even without any special mention, I managed to catch many attention. Dama ko ang bawat titig ng ilan sa akin. There are these fake smiles. Some won't hide irritation, other remain poker face. I remained emotionless.

And then I see kuya with his wife Bianca. I gave them my precious smile. I kissed and hugged then both. Bianx is a nice lady. Matagal na silang magkakilala ni kuya. They had a tough story though kaya 2 years palang silang kasal.

Then I greeted dad who was talking to one of Alarcon GC's investors. He started looking for Lucas but I gave him a short answer.

Naupo na ako kung saan nakareserve ang upuan ng mga Alarcon including Lucas and Ate Ada.

"Nana!! Nana!!" Napalingon ako sa batang nakangiting tumatakbo palapit sa akin. It's Cirus. Jeremy and Ate Ada's first child.

"Hello baby, how are you doing?" I asked. Binuhat ko ito not minding my dress getting mess. 5 years old na ito at malusog na bata.
