I walked out my room to see the girls eating in the living room watching TV and Elias in his play pen.

Silas - Rai where's Evie?

Rai - outside

I went outside to see her smoking with Khalil. When did this motherfucker get here?

Kahlil - wassup Silas

Silas - Evie get in the house

Khalil - we almost done here. Go take care of your kids.

I looked at Evie.

Silas - get in the house now

Evie grabbed the blunt from Khalil.

I grabbed Khalil jacking him up against the car.

Silas - I don't want you around my wife anymore. If I catch you around , I'm beating yo ass

I let him go and grabbed Evie knocking the blunt out her hand.

I took her in the house and in our room.

Evie - Silas what the fuck

Silas - when in the hell did he get here

Evie - Khalil has been here a month

Silas -  let me get this straight so while I took a nap , you decided to leave our kids in the living room with no supervision so you could go smoke

Evie - Sy'Rai was in there with them

Silas - she is a child.

Evie -  I wasn't gone that long

Silas - I don't want to see you around him. I mean it.

Evie - you are over exaggerating

Silas -  I'm so close to leaving you bro. I love you but I'm not having my kids around your bullshit

Evie - Silas it's just weed

Silas - it's not just weed.  You either get it together or I'm gone and I'm taking the kids

I sighed as I looked down at my phone, seeing that Khalil was calling me

I answered

Kahlil - are you crying?

Evie - I'm fine. 

Khalil - you wanna go out tonight

Evie - no I'm not really up for it

Kahlil - don't tell me it's because of Silas.

Evie - he just threatened to leave me

Kahlil - and? You probably better off without him

Evie - says who?  I can't smoke with you anymore

Khalil - this is why your ass shouldn't have been dependent on him because  he knows he can control you

Evie - Khalil he's not controlling me.  I don't want to lose my kids.

Khalil -  you don't need them either

Evie - Khalil be so for real right now. 

Khalil -  you don't need Silas or those kids.

Evie - please don't contact me anymore if you're gonna say shit like that

Khalil -  you really let that man become your whole life haven't you? That's sad. 

Evie - he helped me unlike your ass , who was supplying drugs to me

Silas walked in.

Khalil - you gonna tell him or should I?

Silas - tell me what?

Evie - Khalil shut up

Khalil - I'm sleeping with your wife

I hung up.

Silas looked at me.

Evie - baby I'm sorry

He didn't say a word.

Evie - Silas I'm sorry

Silas - I heard you. 

Evie -  He wouldn't take money and I-

Silas - I don't want to hear it

He walked off.

I heard the front door close.

I wouldn't blame him , if he came back and told me to pack up my shit and leave.

I walked back in the house and   saw Evie sitting on the couch with Sy'Rai.

Silas - Sy'Rai go in your room, I need to talk to Evie.

Sy'Rai walked out.

Evie - Silas-

Silas - hush.

She looked on the verge of tears.

Silas - how long have you been sleeping with him

Evie - it only happened once.

Silas -  don't lie to me

Evie - I'm not.  If you want to go , I'll leave

Silas -  no.  We're going to counseling. The first session is next week.

Evie - okay

Silas - okay

I got up and she grabbed my hand.

The cheating thing didn't really bother me , probably because I still feel guilty that I cheated on her when she found out she was pregnant with Sol.  It's been a year since it happened and I still have guilt over it.

I think  marriage counseling will help us because I feel like I don't understand my wife anymore.
