I sat with Mae and Evie while the girls played with her grandson Sawyer. Only her oldest daughter Samantha showed up to dinner and the rest said they were busy, but Samantha is on the phone outside and has been for the last few hours.

Mae - Evie how's your dad and brother?

Evie - they're fine. Omari keeps them busy.

Mae - that's good.

Samantha walked in.

Mae - Sam do you know if you're brothers are coming?

Sam - Matthew is on his way with some young girl and Evan is coming with his new girlfriend.

Mae - Evie can I touch your stomach?

Evie - sure

Mae placed her hand on Evie's stomach.

Mae almost looked as if she wanted to cry.

Mae - I bet she gonna look just like you Evie.

Evie - considering how my last pregnancy was. She is gonna look like her dad because he pissed me off this entire pregnancy.

Silas - you got mad at me over things I can't control. Not my fault Walmart ain't had the cookies you wanted.

Evie - it is your fault

Mae - pregnancy craving s are no joke.

Silas - you're telling me. I got kicked out a lot of over food.

Matthew and Evan walked in.

Silas - hey Coi

I leaned over and saw Coi next to Matthew and Evan with some older woman.

Matthew looked at Evie and smiled.

Evie - hi Matt

Matt - hey gorgeous

He has a thing for Evie but she don't entertain him. Plus the man has children that are older than the both of us.

I got up from the dinner table to check on Evie. When we sat down for dinner she started feeling nauseous so Mae let her lie down in one of the bedrooms in the house.

I walked in the room to see Evie asleep.

I shook her.

Silas - baby

Evie - hmm

She opened her eyes

Silas - you wanna come eat

She shook her head no and went back to sleep.

I walked out and shut the door.

Mae - is she okay?

Silas - she's fine. She's sleeping

Salem - why mommy throw up. Didn't you cook this daddy?

Silas - yes. It's the baby

Salem - cookie made mommy throw up

Silas - yeah.

Salem - cookie is a bad baby

Coi - How's Diamond Silas?

Silas - I wouldn't know. I got a restraining order against her

Coi - really now?

Silas - Coi I know what mind games you're playing so stop it.

Coi - I was just curious.

Silas - be curious somewhere else. Worry about your relationship

Coi - this isn't a relationship

Silas - what is it then?

Matthew - I wanna know too.

Coi - Matt you know what this is.

Matthew - I don't. Enlighten me Coi.

I woke up to yelling. I quickly got up and walked out the room to see Evan  and Sam arguing with Silas and their mother.

Evie - what is going on?

Silas - Mae changed her will and they're mad at me

Evie - what does the will say

Mae - I'm leaving everything to the two of you

Evie - what?

Mae - I rarely see my own kids and every time I need something y'all show up.

Evie - we're supposed to do that. Mae we love you

Mae - I love y'all too and just think of it as a gift for the kids because you're accepting it.

Samantha - we're your kids , not him.  You're gonna let this kid just take every thing my daddy worked for.

Mae - I've given y'all more than enough.  He at least deserves something. He's here every time I call  and I can't even get a phone call  from any of you. Him and his family are getting every single thing I owned. It's theirs

Silas  looked at Mae

Silas - thank you Mae. We really appreciate it

Mae - I know you do.

Samantha - oh please. It's all a front. He knew mom was rich  when he started working here.

Mae - he didn't know.

The car ride home was silent. Silas hasn't said a word since about Mae's decision. I can tell you right now that he is thinking about using the money on the kids.  We live comfortably as is.

Evie - baby why are you so quiet ?

Silas - because if Mae dies , I'm out of a job.  Samantha and Evan told me when she dies , that's it and they'll make sure I never work again.

Evie -  what about Matt?

Silas - he pulled me aside and said I could work for him but with Coi around I don't think you'd be comfortable, especially when you look at mine and Coi's past.

Evie - I'm fine with it.  I know you don't like her

He probably go work for Silas. Sikas can't help but work  and Matt is really nice anyway. He's always been the nicer one of out his siblings , his only problem is , is that he contact his mom.
