I sat up as I heard Solana crying. She's a month old now and the crazy thing is , is that the day she was Matthew drove Mae up to the hospital to see her and then Mae died 2 days after. Like she promised the money came to me and Evie and the only one who are really mad at Samantha and Evan. Matthew isn't mad and told me that we deserved that money and that he only wishes he was a better son to his mom.

I went and got Solana.

Salem - daddy?

I looked over and saw Salem sitting up in her bed looking at me.

I put Sol's pacifier in her mouth and walked in Salem's room.

I haven't told Salem that Mae died because she's been asking to go over there since Solana was born.

Salem - when are we going to grandma Mae's house.

Silas - Emmy , Grandma Mae isn't here anymore

Salem - she only saw Sol one time.

Silas - I know, but I think that's all she wanted.

Salem - she's in the sky now

Silas - yeah .

Salem - oh.

Silas - don't get upset baby

Salem - she can still see us. Just like grandma Gen and grandma Sophia

Silas - your grandma Sophia isn't dead

Salem - Rai said she was dead

Silas - grandma Sophia in jail for hurting your mom

Salem - how come she hurt mommy

Silas - I don't know. Jealousy I guess

Solana started to crying

Silas - I can have to feed your sister

She followed me into my room. I woke Evie up and handed Solana to her.

Salem - mommy

Evie - yes Emmy

Salem - why do Sol eat boobies

Silas - because mommy is a cow

Evie hit me.

Salem - if Sol gets milk from mommy when you still buy milk at the store

Evie got up and left with Sol. Salem looked at me

Silas - mommy is only allowed to give her milk to the baby. We drink cow milk.

I put Solana back to bed after she ate . Salem went back to her room.

Silas stood in the doorway looking at me.

Evie - what?

He smiled and shook his head.

Evie - what?

Silas - your boobs are out

Evie - you are childish.

We went back to our room.

Silas - it's daddy's turn to eat

Evie - get away from me. We're not going though this again.

Silas - you can make more

Evie - Silas no

Silas - I never get what I want

Evie - go to bed.

I got up  and walked in the bathroom to Silas standing in the shower.

Silas - you wanna join?

Evie - you still got two weeks left

Silas - doctor said it was okay

Evie -  I don't have time to be sore right now

Silas - man

Evie - you can wait two more weeks

He kissed me.

Silas - no I can't

Evie - you can try then.

After I dropped the girls off at school , I came back home. I don't have a job anymore and even though Matthew did offer , his brother and sister are still harassing us and we've tried to get restraining orders but if they violate it , the police don't do anything about it because they have the whole police department in their pocket.

I looked at Solana. She smiled at me. All I want is to protect my family. They only target me and Evie and they have left the kids out of the situation but how long is it before they start trying to use my kids.
