Chapter 9: Getting to Phoenix Drop and Aphmau gets a new puppy

Aphmau and I are currently bolting back to Phoenix Drop on our horses at top speed with my wand illuminated with The Wand Lighting Charm "If what Vincent said about those Shadow Souls popping up all around multiple villages..." Aphmau started "If what he said is true, then Phoenix Drop might be in serious trouble" I told her beside her lighting our way "HYAH!" I yelled and the horse I'm on started trying to go faster, so did Aphmau's, WE MADE IT! I slid off my horse as it was beginning to slow down but I hopped of before it could stop and so did Aphmau "The gate's still in tact too" she said out loud "Hello?!" Aphmau called "Is anyone there?!?" I called "Who goes there!?" I heard a girl call "Alexis your safe! Alexis it's us! Aphmau and Aidan!" Aphmau called "Aphmau?! Aidan?! What are you doing outside the gates this late at night? We weren't expecting you back for a few days! Hold on one second and I'll let you both in!" this girl named Alexis called, she looks at least a year older than me "Okay! Thank Irene their safe" Aphmau panted from worry then started talking to herself thinking out loud, then this teenage girl in armor came and opened the gate, I got back on my horse and got in, I then waited for Aphmau, she then came in and Alexis asked where is everyone else and asked if we're okay and Aphmau started talking to her and she confirmed that they were attacked by Shadow Souls so Alexis took us to Lord Levin "Here we are, I don't believe you needed me to escort you both back here, however... after what happened today, I just feel safe doing this for everyone. I'll see you later Lady Aphmau and Sir Aidan. Oh, here... take these to tie up your steeds. Take care" she told us as I climbed off my horse and she handed us Leads to tie up our horses to something so I tied my horse by a birch tree as well as Aphmau next to mine, Dante talked to Aphmau about what happened and Dante asked Aphmau if someone named "Zane" could be behind this but Aphmau said that's impossible, he's trapped in the Irene Dimension with someone named "Garroth" and Dante considered him a brother and asked Aphmau to stay close to Laurance but Aphmau reminded him but he called Aphmau his sister, then had a moment, not a romantic one, but a friendly kind of one, then Aphmau and I went inside the house Dante came out then a guy not older than me by a year with brown hair, forest green eyes, a green scarf wearing travel clothes and he apparently called Aphmau "Mom" and Aphmau called him "Malachi" so that must be his name, they talked about what happened and apparently Shale can be used as a substitute for Obsidian "We don't know how, but if someone found a way to do this... then... what could they possibly hope to accomplish?! The only thing they'll do by opening the Nether is releasing The Shadow Lord!" Malachi exclaimed "Malachi, how did you manage to stop the Shadow Souls?" Aphmau asked her son, he then explained what happened and Malachi told his mother he has to talk to Alexis and someone named Kyle, Levin might be awake upstairs so we went upstairs, but Levin's asleep but having a hard time sleeping, so Aphmau started to play a music box "Who gave him that?" I asked "It was his mother's" she replied "I thought you're his mother??" I asked confused "I'm his adoptive mother, I raised him as if he were my own" she replied "Oh" I replied, she then started playing the music box

It had a beautiful sound to it, I actually really like it and apparently it always helped Levin, suddenly Aphmau fell asleep on the floor, I chuckled, I pointed my wand at her "Levioso" I whispered and she started levitating and I put her in Malachi's bed, I then covered her in the blanket and rubbed my eye a little as I was getting tired, I went downstairs and I didn't know if it was okay, so I just pulled a bedroll out of my satchel and slept on the floor in my bedroll, I really hope it's okay, I left a note on the couch explaining everything to Malachi and I added that I really hope it's okay I spend the night here in his and his brother's house and fell asleep.
