Inferna felt herself shrink, but she gathered up her courage. "We have nothing to discuss." She said flatly, looking into the Commander's optics.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her to behind a building, where they couldn't be heard by the others. "What were you thinking!" Ultra Magnus thundered as Inferna tried not to flinch. It was rare that he lost his temper like this. "You're going to get killed!"

Inferna calmly removed his servo from her arm. "With all due respect, I'm not a sparkling you constantly have to look after. I am able to make my own decision and forge my own path. So stay out of it!" She snapped, and turned, heading back to the Wreckers. "Come on, let's leave."

"No," Ultra Magnus said from behind her. "Stay. You guys must recharge and refuel before heading out to battle again."

"Hate to say it, but the Commander's right," Wheeljack said, causing Inferna to sigh.

"Fine, whatever."

-

Ultra Magnus led them to the city Energon depot, handing them cubes of Energon. But to Inferna, he handed two.

Inferna tried handing it back to him. "I don't need two. You should save it. We're at war you know." She tossed it back into the pile and went outside, sitting in between Seaspray and Wheeljack.

"Don't like talking to the Commander either, huh?" Seaspray asked her. Inferna scowled.

"It's not that."

"Then what is it?"

Inferna didn't respond, quickly devouring the Energon cube. Seaspray tilted his helm slightly. "Why are you avoiding the question, Inferna?"

Inferna's scowl deepened. "I don't have a problem with him, ok? Leave it at that."

She laid back, putting her servos behind her helm and staring up at the sky. The Wreckers quietly chattered with one another, their voices lulling her into recharge.

-

The Iaconian Park was filled with the sounds of sparklings playing as they raced around, the older Cybertronians watching them, talking with one another while keeping an optic on the little ones.

Inferna on the other servo was sitting on the bench with Ultra Magnus, reading a datapad. "Why don't you go and play with the other sparklings, 'Erna?" He asked her softly.

She quickly shook her helm. "I don't wanna."

Nonetheless, the commander pushed her off the bench over to the area where the others were playing. Inferna tried going back, through Ultra Magnus prevented her. "Go and play," he ordered.

Inferna rolled her optics and went over to the other sparklings, who were currently playing a game of tag, staring at them. "You want something?" A green and bronze-colored one asked.

"May I join you guys," she asked. They all shook their helms.

"Sorry, but no."

"Why?"

"Why would we?"  The green and bronze colored one said. "Just go back to the bench and keep reading your datapad."

Unsure of how else to respond, Inferna curled her servo into a fist and slammed it against his face plate. Granted, it wasn't hard but it was enough to make him stumble back.

"Inferna!" Ultra Magnus called out, marching over and grabbing her wrist. A pair of bots that looked exactly like the green and bronze bot walked over, and he apologized to them.

"No," Inferna said as he tried to force her to say sorry as well. "I don't wanna."

He scoffed and picked her up. "I'm sorry," he said to them again before walking away, grabbing the datapad off of the bench.

"You're a real brat sometimes, you know that?" Ultra Magnus quietly scolded Inferna, who was currently looking down at the ground.

His optics softened slightly. "But I still love you regardless."

"I don't know," Ultra Magnus told Dynama, staring down at his cup of Energon. Currently, they were back at their home, with Inferna playing in the corner with a bunch of spare parts. "I'm trying my best. She won't listen to me."

"She's not one of your soldiers, Magnus," Dynama said, sipping her Energon. "You just gotta be patient."

Ultra Magnus looked over at  Inferna, who had assembled a crude, sharp-looking object. Dynama quickly went over to pry it away from her grip. He looked at them, and a strange feeling- happiness he realized- overtook his spark. 'What I wouldn't do for you guys...' he thought to himself.

"Hey, Inferna!"

Inferna immediately opened her bright blue optics, seeing a few Wreckers hovering over her. "Good, you're awake," Wheeljack said. "'Cause we got company."
