Chapter 30 - 2.2 Third Small Star - Hei Xue

The married couple in the paper, Wu Xue and Wan Lengya had decided to divorce.

This is the result they've made together. Like how the original Wu Xue waited for 3 years after their arranged marriage, for Wan Lengya to give him his answer to his question a long time ago, now the conclusion is made.

Though there are no divorce papers given to him, their marriage still ended. As Wan Lengya had chosen is Muse, Xing Ran, instead of his wife, Wu Xue, like in the original plot.

Once they'd finished their conversation, the two who were asked to leave the room for a moment were called back inside. Yue Wuya presented the snack Wu Xue requested to him. Macaroons.

Without even moving his gaze to the macarons in front of him, "Aunt, I and Lengya reached a conclusion. I will have my lawyer prepare the divorce papers. Please have Lengya come here after 3 days for signing." said Wu Xue who casually ate the macaroons gifted to him by his best friend.

The two who just returned to the room showed a stunned expression as they heard what Wu Xue just said and when they saw Wan Lengya reluctantly nod his head, they believed that these two talked about it properly.

With an evident detachment through his voice, "Lady Wan, did you hear me?" asked Wu Xue with a smile that is not a smile. While the lady of Wan can only nod agreeing to the prince's request but all she can feel is a remoteness to this prince's tone.

Lady Wan knew that she was already being treated as a stranger. After all, the original Wu Xue used to call him Aunt even before his son and this prince got married but now he calls him Lady Wan. Calling her in this formal manner gave her the feeling that Prince Snow is now treating her Wan Clan as strangers and not as his in-laws.

Her heart was full of anxiety for no reason, "Y-Yes, I will ask Lengya to meet your highness a week after." Replied Lady Wan.

Completely uninterested in the mother and son at all, Wu Xue resumed eating his macaroons with trembling hands but he didn't seem to mind his weak fingers at all.

Lady Wan upon seeing her little in-law in such a state she couldn't help but feel that she did something wrong. After all, the one who asked her son to divorce her little in-law was her and the clan. Seeing her little in-law throws no tantrum in accepting the divorce with her son. She couldn't help but think that something had gone wrong, especially seeing her son's frown while stealing glances at Wu Xue who is ignoring their presence like they don't exist in his world at all.

This kind of Wu Xue made her feel uncomfortable like she made someone an enemy she couldn't afford to have.

Yue Wuya who could no longer watch Wu Xue's actions used a spoon to feed him bit by bit. This is to stop this sickly man from using his crippled hands.

"If there isn't anything you wish to say. Please go ahead," said Wu Xue to Wan Lengya and his mother. He was concomitantly telling them to take their leave.

After staring at Wu Xue for a few moments, Wan Lengya stood up and prepared to leave with his mother but before he completely walked out of the door he once again looked back only to see that Wu Xue no longer paid any attention to him.

He can only watch the two, one being fed while the other is feeding. He suddenly felt that he was being replaced by Yue Wuya. After the two had taken their leave, a serious expression appeared on Yue Wuya's face as he looked at Wu Xue before him.

Yue Wuya said, "Xue, are you really sure about that divorce? Lengya is..."

"Is in love with a guy named Xing Ran. A year younger than me and a prodigy in music though still a bit rough on the edges." Replied Wu Xue as he continued munching on macarons.
