10 - punishment

Jay

A loud and spamming notifications coming out on my phone. I opened my eyes and checked my phone. I rubbed my eyes as I couldn't see what was the article said.

Breaking news! Park Jay and a successful psychiatrist has spotted having fun at the rooftop while the event was still going on. The rumours said they both were play around at the rooftop.

"What the f-- No, this can't be happening" My eyes widened as soon as I read the article. I decided to read the comments and other information. A lot of news were in the app. I was panicked as I never got into any scandal or dating rumours. My name was clean ever since people know me.

I stood up and immediately went to my closet room before changing my clothes. After I changed my clothes, my phone rang and it showed my dad's name. "Yes dad, I saw the news--"

"Meet me and your mom at this place. I'll send you the location" before I could continue, he hang up. Dad must be so mad because I'm careless. I should've check the surroundings before messing with Eunsoo or lock the door.

I searched for Jake's contact before calling him, "hello--"

"I messed up" I said in frowned.

"Oh is it about the news?"

"What else it could be?" I bumped my head on the wall. "Relax, let your company deny the rumours and everything will be fine" Jake said in calm.

"I know my dad will not let me go that easy. He must prepared a punishment for me" I said as I heard Jake's laughter. "How hard the punishment could be though?"

"I don't know. I feel like I don't have brain now"

"Oh wait. Where's Sunghoon?" I asked in curious.

"Park Sunghoon. The only person who always miss everything. He probably still sleeping now. Don't worry about him. You should go and discuss about this to your parents" Jake said as it made my eyes lit up. We hang up and I took my car card before stepping out from my mansion.

Eunsoo

"Seriously. There's a lot of people out there, why is it me?" I said in frustrated as soon as I saw my dating rumours with Jay. "I just reached my dream and this happened" I bumped my head on the table. Heeseung just chuckled next to me before slurping his noodles.

"What if they give me a punishment where I have to hide myself from everyone so that people don't recognise me? Or force me do a plastic surgery to change my face?" I held my hair tightly as the unlogical thoughts keep appearing in my mind.

Heeseung frowned, "Don't be dramatic and stop overthinking. I'm sure Jay's company will deny the rumours" He said.

"It's your fault for being late last night! If you showing up on time, maybe I won't be bored and went to the rooftop" I blew my noodles as it was still hot. I got annoyed when Heeseung tucked my hair behind my ear.

"You don't feel sorry and just tuck my hair behind my ear as an apology?" I said causing him chuckled and got choked on noodles. I patted his back before laughing hard. Caramel suddenly came to me and cuddling around me before jumping and sit on my lap. "The cat is hungry" Heeseung said as he brushing Caramel's head.

"Can you bring her food? I can't take her off" I said as Heeseung obeyed. As I was waiting for Heeseung to bring the cat's food, my phone rang and it turns out to be Mr Park's name on the screen. I nervously tapped the answer call.

"Good morning Dr Shin" Only hear his voice could make me shivering. "Good morning Mr Park. Why did you call me?" I hate myself for asking that dumb question. I patiently wait for his response.

"I bet you already read the news, right?"

"Yes, I did"

"Would you mind if I ask you to meet me and my wife somewhere? I'll share the location" I was surprised that he didn't get mad at me. "Of course! I will be there" I said before he thanked me and hang up.

Heeseung finally came with Caramel's food and lifted her up before feeding her. "Caramel, give me your hand" Heeseung said as he hold out his hand and she obeyed before put her paw on his hand. "Good girl" He said and feed the cat. I looked at them in awe.

"Heeseung" I called him and he hummed as a response.

"Mr Park asked me to meet him and his wife at somewhere. I'm scared if they'll be mad at me" I said and Heeseung turned to me, "Don't worry, they not going to eat you. They are kind, really. I used to have a meeting with Mr Park alone and he literally buy me lunch" Heeseung smiled before turned to Caramel again.

"Okay..."

"I'm going to get ready"

"Do you want me to send you?" He asked and I shook my head, "Take care of Caramel for me" Heeseung lift up his eyebrow and nodded.

I nervously sat next to Jay and in front of his parents. Mrs Park smiled sweetly to me and Mr Park looked calm. Maybe what Heeseung said were real, they're not as scary as I think.

"Dr Shin" Mrs Park said.

"It's okay, you can call me Eunsoo" I said and smiled.

She nodded and smiled, "Right, Eunsoo.."

"Who do you live with?" Mrs Park randomly asked me.

"I live alone but oftentimes my bestfriend do come to my house" I answered. "Lee Heeseung? Your bestfriend?" Mr Park asked and made me surprised. I nodded in response.

"I see some low rumours about you with him. Do you both always together?" I nodded again and didn't bothered to take a glance at the guy who next to me.

"Your dad is a lawyer? And your mom is a fashion designer?" I was shocked to see how they knew about my parents. I barely talk about my parents since they always live far away from me and acting as if I never existed.

"Yes.."

"It's okay, Eunsoo-ah. We knew about you and your parents relationship. It must be so hard for you" I lowered my head under Mrs Park's statement. I could see Jay suddenly look at me after his mom said that.

"Thank you for understanding. I really appreciate it if we don't talk or mention about my parents" I said politely.

Mr Park nodded, "To be honest, we have planned something to do to you both, Jay and Eunsoo after being careless last night."

"After not care about his image" Mr Park glued his eyes at his son.

"Your parents and us"

"Have planned for you both to arrange marriage"

"As a punishment"
